WAFER-LEVEL 3D INTEGRATION OF HIGH VOLTAGE OPTICAL TRANSFORMER
A method of forming a high voltage optical transformer includes forming a via through a transparent carrier wafer, forming a conductive layer within the via, bonding a solid state lighting (SSL) package to a first side of the carrier wafer, and bonding a photovoltaic (PV) wafer to a second side of the carrier wafer opposite to the first side. The photovoltaic wafer may include an active area and a conductive area located outside of the active area that is in electrical contact with the conductive layer. The method further includes forming both an SSL contact with the solid state lighting package and a PV contact with the conductive layer on the same side of the carrier wafer.
PEROVSKITE SOLAR CELL PROVIDED WITH AN ADSORBENT MATERIAL FOR ADSORBING TOXIC MATERIALS
The present invention concerns a perovskite solar cell provided with a polymer-porous template composite material for absorbing toxic metal ions. Preferably, the porous template material is a metal oxide framework (MOF) material. An example of a preferred polymer-porous template composite material is PDA-Fe-BTC (polydopamine-Fe1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate). In experiments mimicking breakage of the solar cell modules, the presence of the polymer-MOF material was shown to result in the capture of lead and thus to reduced leakage of lead.
Integrated photovoltaic panel circuitry
A photovoltaic module is presented, which may include a photovoltaic panel and a converter circuit having a primary input connected to the photovoltaic panel and a secondary output galvanically isolated from the primary input. The primary input may be connectible to multiple input terminals within a junction box and at least one of the input terminals may be electrically connected to a ground. The photovoltaic module may include multiple interconnected photovoltaic cells connected electrically to multiple connectors (for example bus-bars). The photovoltaic module may include input terminals operable for connecting to the connectors and an isolated converter circuit. The isolated converter circuit may include a primary input connected to the input terminals and a secondary output galvanically isolated from the primary input.

Encapsulating composition and encapsulating film comprising same and electronic component assembly
The present invention discloses an encapsulation composition, an encapsulation film including the encapsulation composition, and an electronic device module. The encapsulation composition includes a polymer matrix, a tackifier and a free radical initiator. Based on 100 parts by weight of the polymer matrix, the polymer matrix includes 5 to 100 parts by weight of highly branched polyethylene (P1), 0 to 95 parts by weight of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, and 0 to 70 parts by weight of an ethylene-polar monomer copolymer. The highly branched polyethylene (P1) is an ethylene homopolymer having a branch structure and has a degree of branching of not less than 40 branches/1,000 carbon atoms. A density of the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer is not higher than 0.91 g/cm.sup.3. The encapsulation composition provided by the present invention has good volume resistivity, aging resistance, processability and low cost.

Advanced solar PV system with robotic assembly
A cost-effective solar energy collection system, including: 1) new solar PV panel wiring and power conversion system designed to allow tracking panel-to-panel shading while maintaining maximized power output, 2) the companion new combined structural and electrical inter-panel connector system supporting the new wiring scheme, and 3) the new panel structural support for the new inter-panel connector system, 4) the robotic array assembly and installation system used to assemble the new inter-panel connector and new panel structural support system into solar array sections in the field with a robotic crawler to move the assembled solar array sections to their final positions, and 5) the post system and installer for supporting the solar array sections. It is a fully integrated solar energy system for rapid installation and higher energy output which together creates a transformative change for the solar energy field.
PARTIALLY FLEXIBLE SOLAR ARRAY STRUCTURE
A solar array structure, such as for a spacecraft, uses thin solar array panels that, when in a stowed configuration, are stiffened by being bent or curved in one direction to be shaped like a section of a cylinder and placed within a rigid structural frame. As a curved solar panel is not as efficient as a flat panel directly facing the sun, the solar array panels are curved in their stowed configuration for launch only, but flatten after deployment by use of a partially flexible structural frame, where a rectangular frame is made of two opposing rigid sides and two opposing flexible sides, with a thin flexible solar panel attached to rigid sides only. The rigid sides are compressed during stowage to curve the panel before hold-down tensioning. The structure and panels return to their flat free state configuration after release.
