Energy storage device
An energy storage device includes: an electrode assembly; a case that houses the electrode assembly; and a spacer that is a side spacer disposed between the electrode assembly and the case. The spacer has a rear portion disposed to face the electrode-assembly end portion, a side portion extended in a direction along the side surface of the electrode assembly, and a connection that rotatably connects the side portion to the rear portion.

ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE HAVING SPIRAL WOUND ELECTRODES
An electrochemical device having a roll with elongated electrodes each supported in one of two alternating folds of a separator layer, and spirally wound in the roll with the separator layer to define two opposing ends, each of such ends only exposing a different one of the electrodes wound along the roll. The device having a disc shaped housing having upper and lower portions fixable to each other to set the device height. The upper portion provides a first member with a first surface disposed along one end of the roll. A second member with a second surface is disposed along the other end of the roll. Spring elements compressed between the second member and a third member, provided by the housing lower portion, apply pressure to force the second member toward the first member promoting contact of the first and second surfaces with different ones of the exposed electrodes.
Secondary battery insulating plate and secondary battery including the same
An insulating plate for a secondary battery includes a wound electrode group, an electrolyte, a cylindrical battery case that houses the electrode group and the electrolyte, and a sealing body that seals an opening of the battery case and includes a discharge valve. The insulating plate is disposed between the electrode group and the sealing body and has a disk shape with a thickness T of 0.1 mm or more. The insulating plate has a first hole formed centrally therein and at least one second hole formed around the first hole so as to extend along the outer periphery of the disk shape. The ratio (=T/D) of the thickness T to a diameter D of the insulating plate is 0.016 or less, and the insulating plate has an opening ratio of 36% or less.

Materials for fire protection
A composite material for fire protection comprises: a) an inorganic fibre core comprising inorganic fibres interlocked or entangled to form a coherent body resistant against separation laminated between b) at least two layers of phyllosilicate insulation the material further comprising a barrier integral to the material to hinder ingress of humidity to edges of the inorganic fibre core.
Method for measuring content of moisture in secondary battery separator
The present invention provides a method for measuring moisture content in a separator of secondary battery by using a gas chromatograph equipped with a headspace sampler. The separator of secondary battery may be a safety reinforced separator (SRS) in which inorganic substance particles and a binder polymer are coated on a polyolefin substrate.
