Non-access stratum based access method and terminal supporting the same
A non-access stratum based access method and a terminal supporting the same. The terminal receives an Internet protocol (IP) address allocated from a first gateway included in a non-3.sup.rd generation partnership project (3GPP) access network. In addition, the terminal applies a non-access stratum (NAS) protocol to a first device managing mobility of the terminal through the IP address.
RELIABLE COMMUNICATIONS USING A POINT TO POINT PROTOCOL
This disclosure describes techniques for performing communications between devices using various aspects of Ethernet standards. As further described herein, a protocol is disclosed that may be used for communications between devices, where the communications take place over a physical connection complying with Ethernet standards. Such a protocol may enable reliable and in-order delivery of frames between devices, while following Ethernet physical layer rules, Ethernet symbol encoding, Ethernet lane alignment, and/or Ethernet frame formats.
TEST SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRIGGERING OR SEARCHING IN INPUT DATA DECODED WITH A USER DEFINED PROTOCOL
A test system for triggering or searching in input data decoded with a user defined protocol is provided. The test system comprises a processor and a display. The processor is configured to control the display to display a graphical user interface (GUI), and to receive input data. The GUI is configured to provide an input structure for a user to define protocol layer frames for decoding the input data. Based on the defined protocol layer frames, the processor is configured to generate a set of trigger or search options, and to control the display to display the set of trigger or search options.
Streaming policy management system and method
A streaming policy management system and method wherein bandwidth may be allocated based on external device information received from a streaming client device connected to one or more external audio/video (A/V) devices. When a streaming network back office receives a request from the streaming client device for delivery of a particular content, wherein the request includes external device information of one or more external A/V devices connected to the streaming client device, a bandwidth is determined for streaming the particular content to the streaming client device and a request may be made to a content delivery network to create a distribution pipe having the bandwidth to accommodate the delivery of the particular content. A manifest file is provided to the streaming client device that includes one or more pointers that point to content segments of the particular content.
Supporting popularization of information and communications technology in the field of education
There is provided an information processing apparatus that readily supports to provide hardware resources for implementing ICT education in the field of education. The information processing apparatus includes a device information receiver that receives, via a network, device information for identifying a device connected to a portable terminal, an education application selector that selects, based on the device information, an education application to be provided to the device, and an education application provider that provides the education application to the device via the network and the portable terminal.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR GENERATING PROTOCOL DATA UNIT (PDU) PACKET
The present disclosure relates to a method and device for generating a protocol data unit (PDU) packet. The method includes: acquiring a service data unit (SDU) packet, processing the SDU packet according to a size of a preset data packet, and generating a packet header and a data section of a PDU packet according to the processing result, the packet header and the data section constituting the PDU packet. The packet header omits a framing indication (FI) field and a resegmentation flag (RF) field and includes a preset field, and the preset field includes other fields than the FI field and the RF field that are redefined in a common packet header, or a target field that is newly added, a field length of the target field that is newly added being smaller than a total length of the FI field and the RF field.
Method for controlling recommendation messages in a communications network
A method for controlling, in a communications network, recommendation messages exchanged during a session between a first endpoint, referred to as a source entity, and a second endpoint, referred to as a receiving entity. The messages are exchanged via a tube grouping data packets of a communication protocol with no guarantee of the delivery of the data packets. The method includes: obtaining recommendations contained in the recommendation messages via a control entity located on a network path of the tube, the control entity being authorized by an operator of the communications network; calculating a new recommendation message, on the basis of the recommendations obtained and of at least one information item relating to conditions of the network provided by the control entity; and sending the new recommendation message to at least one network entity located at one end of the tube.
Correlating simulated signal and satellite downlink signal
A computing system including a processor configured to receive packet preamble binary data and packet header binary data associated with a satellite. The processor may generate a simulated signal that encodes the packet preamble binary data and the packet header binary data. The processor may receive a satellite downlink signal. Within each of a plurality of sample intervals of the satellite downlink signal, the processor may compute a respective correlation between the satellite downlink signal and at least a portion of the simulated signal. The processor may select an identified sample interval of the plurality of sample intervals based at least in part on the plurality of correlations. The processor may decode binary satellite signal data based at least in part on the identified sample of the satellite downlink signal. The processor may output the binary satellite signal data.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE, COMMUNICATION METHOD, PROGRAM, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
[Object] To ease complexity for users in protocol selection. [Solution] A communication device including: a receiving unit that receives two or more pieces of protocol information, each of which indicates a protocol, from another communication device; a selecting unit that selects a protocol on the basis of priority set for protocol selection from protocols common to two or more protocols usable by the communication device and two or more protocols indicated by the two or more pieces of protocol information; and a communication control unit that controls communication with the other communication device according to the protocol selected by the selecting unit.
