ANTIBACTERIAL BIOMEDICAL IMPLANTS AND ASSOCIATED MATERIALS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS
Methods for improving the antibacterial and/or bone-forming characteristics of biomedical implants and related implants manufactured according to such methods. In some implementations, a biomedical implant may comprise a composite of a silicon nitride ceramic powder dispersed within a poly-ether-ether-ketone (PEEK) or a poly-ether-ketone-ketone (PEKK) substrate material. In some implementations, the biomedical implant may be 3D printed.

Implants having a drug load of an oxysterol and methods of use
Provided is a compression resistant implant configured to fit at or near a bone defect to promote bone growth. The compression resistant implant comprises a biodegradable polymer in an amount of about 0.1 wt % to about 20 wt % of the implant and a freeze-dried oxysterol in an amount of about 5 wt % to about 90 wt % of the implant. Methods of making and use are further provided.
BONE DERIVED FIBERS AND OXYGENATED WOUND TREATMENTS
A composition for the treatment of wounds includes demineralized bone fibers (DBF) derived from allogeneic or xenogenic cortical bone and/or polymeric fibers made from resorbable and/or non-resorbable polymer, and the composition may also include an oxygen-generating material and/or an oxygen carrier.
Shear-Thinning Therapeutic Composition, and Related Methods
A shear-thinning therapeutic composition is provided along with methods of making and using the therapeutic composition.

HIGHLY LOADED METAL OXIDE MATERIALS BY SELF-ASSEMBLY FOR EXTENDED BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE MOLECULE RELEASE IN MEDICAL AND DENTAL APPLICATIONS
A biocompatible composite material for controlled release is disclosed, comprising a biocompatible metal oxide structure with a loaded network of pores. The pore network of the biocompatible composite material is filled with a uniformly distributed biologically active micellizing amphiphilic molecule, the size of these pores ranging from about 0.5 to about 100 nanometers. The material is characterized in that when exposed to phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), the controlled release of the active amphiphilic molecule is predominantly diffusion-driven over time.
MANUFACTURING GRADIENT MATERIALS USING MAGNETICALLY-ASSISTED ELECTROSPINNING
Described are fibrous materials comprising a plurality of fibers having a longitudinal alignment gradient and/or a longitudinal composition gradient. Also described are methods of preparing the fibrous materials thereof and methods of treating organ or tissue damage with the fibrous materials.
