An acoustic transducer, in particular for an ultrasonic sensor, is proposed. The acoustic transducer has a functional group, the functional group encompassing a diaphragm cup and at least one electroacoustic transducer element. The acoustic transducer furthermore has a housing. The diaphragm cup encompasses a vibration-capable diaphragm and an encircling wall, as well as at least one electroacoustic transducer element, the transducer element being embodied to excite the diaphragm to vibrate and/or to convert vibrations of the diaphragm into electrical signals. The diaphragm cup is constituted from a plastic material, the at least one transducer element being integrated into the vibration-capable diaphragm, the transducer element having an electrically active polymer.

An electronic device including a display panel, a protection layer, and a sound broadcasting element is provided. The display panel is disposed on an inner surface of the protection layer. The sound broadcasting element is disposed on the inner surface of the protection layer and includes a piezoelectric component and a connection component. The connection component is located on a side of the display panel, the connection component contacts the protection layer and is connected between the piezoelectric component and the protection layer. A back surface of the display panel is located between the piezoelectric component and the protection layer, wherein the back surface of the display panel is a surface away from the protection layer.

In forming the diaphragm, a flowable and curable polymer, which forms the diaphragm after curing, is at least partially cast around the at least one piezoelectric element. The service may include measuring a signal output, which is responsive to the stimulus, from the piezoelectric transducer. The service may include evaluating the measured signal output to a reference voltage and determining whether the piezoelectric transducer is reverse-poled or not based on the evaluation. The service may further include determining a response to the determination when the piezoelectric transducer is reverse-poled.
