Tracking Area Planning
A method is disclosed for improved tracking area planning and handling, comprising: assigning a single tracking area code to a plurality of eNodeBs at a messaging concentrator gateway, the messaging concentrator gateway situated in a network between the plurality of eNodeBs and the core network; storing, at the messaging concentrator gateway, at least one indicator of a last known location of a user equipment (UE) other than the single tracking area code; receiving a paging message from the core network at the messaging concentrator gateway for a UE; and performing a paging sequence using the at least one indicator to identify a set of eNodeBs to page the UE, thereby allowing larger tracking area list sizes to be used without increasing signaling traffic between the radio access network and the core network.
Network Based Paging False Alarm Mitigation
A network mitigates paging false alarms. A network component of the network determines a paging area for a user equipment (UE), wherein the paging area comprises a plurality of cells of the network, determines one of a most recent one of the cells of the paging area with which the UE was in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state or a coverage area of one of the cells in which the UE is currently located and configures a page to be transmitted to the UE from a subset of the plurality of cells of the paging area, wherein the subset is based on at least the determination of the most recent one of the cells with which the UE was in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state or the one of the cells in which the UE is currently located.
Paging procedures with increased granularities
Provided herein are various techniques and solutions to paging user equipment (UE). In particular, paging at higher levels of granularity, such as a beam level, for low mobility or stationary UEs in inactive and/or idle states are described. An apparatus may be configured to receive, from a network, a message configuring at least one beam notification area associated with positioning of the apparatus. The at least one beam notification area may include a set of beams corresponding to a set of cells identified by the network as candidates for carrying a paging message for the apparatus in the at least one beam notification area. The apparatus may be further configured to receive the paging message from the network via one of the set of beams corresponding to one of the set of cells in which the apparatus is positioned based on the at least one beam notification area.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) FOR COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
A method and apparatus are provided for artificial intelligence (AI) for communication networks. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a core network node includes collecting location information, the collected location information associated with movement of at least one user equipment within a network; predicting based at least part of the collected location information; and communicating an indication of the prediction.
DEVICE CONTEXTS, OPERATIONAL MODES, AND POLICY DRIVEN ENHANCEMENTS FOR PAGING IN ADVANCED NETWORKS
Facilitating device contexts, operational modes, and policy driven enhancements for paging in advanced networks (e.g., 4G, 5G, 6G, and beyond) is provided herein. Operations of a network device can comprise analyzing a group of contextual data for a user equipment device, and mobility management behaviors historically implemented for the user equipment device and based on an indication that a page request is scheduled to be sent to the user equipment device. The operations can also comprise configuring a paging message for the user equipment device based on the contextual data and the mobility management behaviors. Further, the operations can comprise sending the paging message to the user equipment device.

CHANGE OF TRACKING AREA CODE FOR WIRELESS NETWORKS
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some non-terrestrial networks, the movement of satellites may result in the movement of cell coverage. A user equipment (UE) may experience changing cell coverage due to the movement of cell coverage, even if the UE is stationary. A UE may be configured to determine a cell is serving two or more earth-fixed tracking areas, determine whether to monitor paging resources of a first earth-fixed tracking area or a second earth-fixed tracking area, and monitor the selected paging resources. In some aspects, the UE may determine that a cell serves two or more earth-fixed tracking areas based on a received control message including multiple tracking area indicators. In some aspects, the UE may determine which paging resources to monitor based on a geographic position of the UE.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS, DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The present application provides a wireless communication method and apparatus, a device, and a storage medium. One example method includes: performing, by a base station, user grouping management on all terminals in a target cell; periodically updating user groups for all terminals in the target cell; and initiating, based on the user groups, paging of different groups.
Methods, apparatus, and systems for displaying notifications
A method for displaying prompting information includes receiving prompting information of a first message by a terminal device; confirming a current use state by the terminal device; and if the current use state is a preset first use state, displaying first prompting information of the first message on a screen by the terminal device, wherein the first prompting information is prompting information hiding or obscuring a specific content of the first message.
