Cloud-based interworking gateway service

The disclosed embodiments provide a method for interconnecting a plurality of networks, including a first network, with a second network via an interworking gateway (IWG). The method may comprise receiving a request from the first network for a user in the first network to access at least one service or application available in the second network, determining at least one criteria associated with the second network to enforce for the user in the first network, and enforcing the at least one criteria for communications associated with the user between the first and second networks. The IWG may be a cloud-based service that is configured to perform the aforementioned steps. The IWG may also be configured to be dynamically scalable to support multiple networks in the plurality of networks requesting interconnection with the second network.

Physical random access channel (PRACH) configuration periodicity extension for backhaul links

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may identify a scaling factor associated with determining a periodicity of backhaul physical random access channel (PRACH) resources. The wireless communication device may determine, based at least in part on the scaling factor, the periodicity of the backhaul PRACH resources. The periodicity of the backhaul PRACH resources may be extended as compared to a periodicity of access PRACH resources. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Multiple SCTP associations per S1AP connection and moving S1AP signaling connection between SCTP associations

Certain embodiments disclose systems, methods, and apparatus for establishing and using multiple Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) associations. An example method includes a network node establishing a first SCTP association and a second SCTP association for an application protocol connection with a core network node. The network node moves a user equipment (UE) associated signaling stream from the first SCTP association to the second SCTP association.

The present disclosure at least describes a computer-implemented method. The method includes a step of predicting, via a trained machine learning model trained on any one or more of simulated wireless data or actual wireless data, a coverage change and/or a capacity change in a network. The method also includes a step of transmitting, to a node in the network, information regarding the predicted change in capacity and/or coverage in the network. The information facilitates the node in determining satisfaction of performance criteria.

Methods and devices for radio communications

A wireless communication device includes a processor configured to select an offload processing task for performance by an edge computing device; cause a baseband modem to establish a direct wireless connection between the wireless communication device and the edge computing device; cause the baseband modem to send first data to the edge computing device via the direct wireless connection; and receive second data from the edge computing device, wherein the second data comprise a result of the offload processing task performed on the first data. The edge computing device includes a processor configured to receive, from a user device, offloaded data to be processed according to an offload processing task; execute the offload processing task on the offloaded data; and cause the radio via the interface to wirelessly send a result of the executed offload processing task via a direct wireless connection with the user device.

A system and method are disclosed for authenticating and authorizing access to and accounting for consumption of bandwidth for IPv6 connectivity to the Internet over Wireless Access Vehicular Environment (WAVE) service channels by client devices using an Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) server. The AAA server authenticates and authorizes client devices to access WAVE service channels, and accounts for bandwidth consumption by the client devices using WAVE service channels to access the Internet. The AAA server enables an RSU infrastructure operator to quantify wireless bandwidth consumption by in-vehicle devices using the WAVE Service Channels, on a per-device basis.

MULTICAST SERVICE TRANSMISSION METHOD AND DEVICE

A multicast service transmission method includes: a management device that receives a first message; the management device based on the first message, instructs a gateway device to send a data packet of the first multicast service to the terminal device or the access network device, or the management device instructs a gateway device to stop sending a data packet of the first multicast service to the terminal device or the access network device.

BEAM PAGING ASSISTANCE

Wireless communications for paging are described. Paging assistance information may comprise one or more beam parameters to provide beam-based paging for a wireless device. One or more devices may use beam-based paging to reduce usage of wireless resources.

METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

Methods and apparatuses for mobile communication systems are disclosed. According to an embodiment, there is provided a method in a mobile communication system having a radio access network, RAN, the radio access network having a first RAN node and a second RAN node connected by a transport network, the transport network having a first transport node and a second transport node, wherein the first RAN node is connected to the first transport node and the second RAN node is connected to the second transport node. The method includes, by the first transport node: determining the status of a transport network connection between the first transport node and the second transport node, generating a message indicating the status of the transport network connection, and initiating transmission of the message to the first RAN node.

Method for indicating availability of same service on other radio access system

Methods are provided which indicate availability of the same service on a different access network. In these methods, the network controller generates an identifier for each of one or more services provided by a wireless local access network (WLAN). The identifier is associated with a particular service which is also provided by a private radio network. The network controller provides to an access point the identifier to be broadcast to one or more user devices of the WLAN to connect to the particular service via the private radio network. A mobility management entity receives a request from a user device to connect to the private network, where the request includes an identifier associated with a particular service provided to the user device in the WLAN and based on the identifier, the mobility management entity enables the particular service to be provided to the user device via the private radio network.
