Body fluid optical analysis device
A body fluid analysis device that irradiates a body fluid in a tube having translucency with light and analyzes the body fluid on the basis of light having passed through the tube is adapted to include: a base; an attachment that is attached to the base 1 so that the tube is pinched in its radial direction between the attachment and the base; a light emitting element that is provided to the base or the attachment; and a light receiving element that is provided to the base or the attachment, in which in a state where the attachment is attached to the base, between the base and the attachment, the light emitting element and the light receiving element are arranged so as to pinch the tube in the radial direction, or both of the light emitting element and the light receiving element are arranged in the base or the attachment.
FLOW-REVERSING VALVE, AND ASSOCIATED HYPERTHERMIA TREATMENT METHOD AND SYSTEM
The present disclosure describes a flow reversing valve, along with associated methods and systems for providing forward flow, reverse flow, and bypass flow modes of operation, and integrating them into patient treatment systems, including those used for treating and inducing hyperthermia.
INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN DIALYSIS TREATMENT
A dialysis treatment system for hemodialysis includes a processor to acquire blood flow information and patient biological information in a blood circuit for hemodialysis, the patient biological information being peripheral vascular resistance information, blood pressure information, face information, body movement information, temperature information, and humidity information and to acquire patient individual difference information from the blood related information; and to perform dialysis treatment for the patients on the basis of the patient individual difference information.
Method for controlling a device for extracorporeal blood gas exchange, device for extracorporeal blood gas exchange, as well as control device for controlling a device for extracorporeal blood gas exchange
A method controls a device for extracorporeal blood gas exchange. The device has a membrane as a gas-liquid barrier between a bloodstream and a gas stream. The membrane further makes possible a passing over of the carbon dioxide content from the bloodstream into the gas stream. The device has at least one actuator. A change in a value of an operating parameter of the actuator brings about a change in a value of the carbon dioxide content that passes over from the bloodstream into the gas stream. The method further includes providing breathing gas information that indicates a carbon dioxide concentration in breathing gas and providing a control signal, which indicates a request for setting a value of the operating parameter and changing of the value of the operating parameter as a function of the carbon dioxide concentration in the breathing gas.
EXTRACORPORAL BLOOD TREATMENT MACHINE COMPRISING A VIEWING WINDOW WITH ELECTRICALLY SWITCHABLE FILM
A medical device for extracorporeal blood treatment having a housing section that is designed such that is can reversibly change between two transparency states by applying an electrical voltage.
ELECTROOSMOTIC PUMP
An electro-osmosis pump system includes an inlet line through which a fluid is introduced, an outlet line through which the fluid is discharged, a first pump disposed between the inlet line and the outlet line and including a first housing in which a first operation fluid is disposed, a second pump disposed in parallel to the first pump between the inlet line and the outlet line and including a second housing in which a second operation fluid disposed, and a power supply configured to supply voltages to the first pump and the second pump. The first pump includes a first membrane, a 1A-th electrode, and a 2A-th electrode, the second pump includes a second membrane, a 1B-th electrode, and a 2B-th electrode, and the power supply supplies the voltage to the 1A-th electrode and the 2A-th electrode, and supplies the voltage to the 1B-th electrode and the 2B-th electrode.
Mount interface for a medical device
A mount interface is described that includes a latch; and a latching assembly configured to receive the latch so as to lock the latch at a set position with respect to the latching assembly, wherein the latching assembly includes a housing provided with an irregular orifice configured to receive the latch; a first plug disposed in the housing so that a first portion of the irregular orifice overlies the first plug; and a second plug disposed in the housing adjacent the first plug so that a second portion of the irregular orifice overlies the second plug. Such a mount interface provides rapid and secure locking of a latch to the latching assembly.
Systems and methods for monitoring a fluid procedure using hydrostatic pressure
A computer-implemented method comprises providing a fluid circuit comprising fluid pathways configured to mount and associate with a durable processing device comprising a pressure sensor in communication with a controller and a fluid pathway. A container is connected to the pressure sensor and may receive a volume of fluid. A change in pressure values between a first and second time is measured from when the volume of fluid is not in communication with the pressure sensor to when the volume of fluid is in communication with the pressure sensor, the volume of fluid within the container or a presence or absence of a fluid connection to the fluid pathway based on the change in pressure values is determined, and a response action is executed if the volume of fluid within the container is not within an authorized volume range for the time period, or if a fluid connection is unauthorized.
Drain apparatus for hemodialysis machines
This disclosure relates to dialysis systems and methods. In some implementations, a dialysis system includes a dialysis machine with a fluid line and a drain line, a blood line set configured to be connected to the dialysis machine, and a drain apparatus coupled to the dialysis machine. The drain apparatus includes a chamber configured to receive an end of a patient line of the blood line set, an inlet line, an outlet line, and a valve. The inlet line has a first end configured to be coupled to the chamber and a second end configured to be coupled to the fluid line of the dialysis machine. The outlet line has a first end configured to be coupled to the chamber and a second end configured to be coupled to the drain line of the dialysis machine. The valve is configured to control flow of fluid through the outlet line.
Valve leak detection system
An improved valve leak detection system. The improved valve leak detection system comprises a membrane pump defining a flow path arranged to be opened and closed by at least one valve, a measuring device, a comparator, and a signal generator. The measuring device is configured to determine a conductivity value between two points on the flow path of the membrane pump, one point arranged upstream of the at least one valve and the other point arranged downstream of the at least one valve. The measuring device measures the conductivity value when the at least one valve is closed. The comparator is configured to continuously monitor the conductivity value. The signal generator is arranged to provide an output signal when the conductivity value is indicative of a valve leak condition for a set number of measurements within a set period of time.
