Hard Hat Attachment System and Sun Visor

A universal mounting system for a hard hat is provided that includes front and rear mounting locations and auxiliary ridges on either side. A visor is coupled to the hard hat mounting system in such a way as to provide access with minimal interference from the visor to the equipment attached to the mounting locations and ports in the auxiliary ridges. Various embodiments of visors enable modular designs that incorporate different materials and features of the visor. Parallel stretch zones enable folding and holding opposite brims of the visor. Enclosed elastic areas along the inner sides of visor provide user access to auxiliary ridges. Combinations of various accessories on hard hat and how the accessories work together on the universal mounting system are discussed: such as the interaction between visors, earmuffs, face shields, and lamps.

SYSTEM FOR MITIGATING MUSCULOSKELETAL STRESSES FROM HEAD- RELATED MOMENTS EXERTED ON A PERSON
20170245576 · 2017-08-31 ·

In an aspect, a stress mitigation system is provided for mitigating stresses in a wearer of a headgear configured to apply a load on the wearer that is offset from a center of gravity of the wearer's head to apply a first torque in a first direction on the wearer's head. The system includes a track, a shuttle, and a flexible elongate connector. The track is mounted to either the headgear or a bodywear member and extends generally laterally. The shuttle is movable along the track. The connector is configured to connect between the shuttle and the other of the headgear and the bodywear member. The connector applies a second torque on the headgear in a second direction that is generally opposite to the first direction. When the wearer's head pivots, the shuttle is movable laterally along the track to maintain the connector in a substantially vertical orientation.

Brim Shade and Hinge

A brim shade has a shade element, a clip, and a hinge that joins the shade element and the clip to make the brim shade. The shade element and the hinge combine to create a shade that does not allow the light to get past the brim shade. The brim shade can be adjusted through 360 degree rotation and along the side of a hat to provide protection to the wearer.

HELMET WITH VISUAL SHOCK INDICATOR
20170245575 · 2017-08-31 ·

A visual shock indicator apparatus includes a helmet, a facemask secured to the helmet, and a mounting element secured to the helmet. The mounting element has a mounting region disposed between a pair of attachment points used to secure the facemask to the helmet. A retainer assembly is configured to be removably coupled to the mounting element within the mounting region. The retainer assembly includes a shock indicator configured to provide a visual indication of receipt of a predetermined level of a shock event.

Helmet with visor

Helmet with visor having a shell structure shaped is to at least partly cover the user's head. The visor is hinged to the opposite sides of the shell and mobile with respect to the shell between a raised position and a lowered position where it provides a protective extension of the helmet at the eyes of the user. The visor is manually switchable from the raised and lowered positions by using a magnetic coupling between the visor and the shell which guides and keeps the visor stable in the raised and lowered position and in a plurality of intermediate positions.
