ORAL HYDRATION SYSTEM
20200261938 · 2020-08-20 ·

An oral hydration system, which includes a fluid reservoir; a supply tube fluidly coupled to the reservoir at its distal end; and a mouthpiece pump molded as a single piece utilizing one pliable material and deformable along its entire length, wherein the mouthpiece pump is fluidly coupled at its distal end to a proximal end of the supply tube, wherein the mouthpiece pump or the supply tube comprises a one-way distal valve and the mouthpiece pump is sealed proximally with a proximal face in a form of a mouthpiece containing a proximal valve that seals until the pump is deformed by a user for the purpose of creating a priming and pumping action to draw fluid from the reservoir, through the supply tube and out of the mouthpiece pump to the user.

Sino-Nasal Rinse Delivery Device with Agitation, Flow-Control and Integrated Medication Management System
20200246599 · 2020-08-06 · ·

A device, a system and a method are provided to accurately apply a medically beneficial substance directly to a laterally or superiorly located paranasal sinus cavity. When the device is assembled with a solution in a reservoir, and inverted such that the reservoir is above an input apparatus and a housing, weight of the solution pushes down on a diaphragm creating a negative pressure on the diaphragm, which prevents air from entering the reservoir and prevents a liquid from flowing out of the reservoir. Applying a positive pressure to a bottom of the diaphragm causes the diaphragm to open and allows air to flow into the reservoir. When a user creates the positive pressure by exhaling air into the device the act of exhaling causes the user's choana to close. Thereby any solution introduced into the user's sino-nasal cavity will remain contained within the user's sino-nasal cavity increasing effectiveness of treatment and decreasing user discomfort including gagging, choking, and inner ear disturbance. When the positive pressure on the bottom of the diaphragm is removed, the flow of the liquid from the reservoir stops.

AN ENEMA DEVICE AND A METHOD OF REFILLING SAID DEVICE WITH AN ENEMA
20200215257 · 2020-07-09 ·

The present invention relates to an enema device (1;1) comprising a delivery container (2) and an applicator nozzle (3), and wherein said delivery container (2) comprises two cavities (6,8;6,8), an outer cavity (6;6) defined by an squeezable external body (7;7), and an inner cavity (8;8) defined by an inner flexible bladder (9;9), and wherein one of said cavities (6;8) is communicating with an outlet (10) for dispersing the enema though the applicator nozzle (3) and the other cavity (8;6) is communicating with the surroundings via an air inlet (12). Thereby is provided a simple, inexpensive and essentially maintenance free enema device (1;1) which can be used for self-administrating of an enema. The device (1;1) will not only effectively prevent air from being mixed with the enema, but also ensure that the user easily can expel the enema, as the device (1;1) will be perceived as full of enema at all times.

COLLAPSIBLE LIQUID RESERVOIR

A collapsible liquid reservoir has a flexible side wall having a lower step, a middle step and an upper step. Each of the steps includes a riser segment and a tread segment. The riser and tread segments are pivotably connected to one another at an external hinge. When the step is collapsed its segments define an acute step angle between them of about 23. When the step is expanded its segments define an obtuse step angle between them of about 115. The tread of at least one step is pivotably connected to the riser of an adjacent step at an internal hinge. The step segments joined to the internal hinge are symmetrical about a bisector of that hinge. The reservoir has a truncated pyramid shape defined by a generally square base and four trapezoidal side panels joined to one another at corners.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AND CONTROLLING INTRAUTERINE PRESSURE USING A PRESSURE CUFF

A method of determining a pressure of a body cavity with a controller of a fluid management system includes determining a pressure and a volume of a cuff disposed about a collapsible bag, determining a volume of the collapsible bag based on the pressure and the volume of the cuff, and determining a pressure of the collapsible bag based on the volume of the collapsible bag. The method also includes calculating a fluid flow from the collapsible bag into a body cavity from the collapsible bag and determining a pressure of the body cavity based on the fluid flow

A delivery device includes a base body having an outlet opening and a chamber for receiving a flowable substance to be administered. The base body, having first and second film portions attached to each other by a connection with a plurality of regions, being configured to discharge the substance through the outlet opening by compressing the chamber. The delivery device further includes a pouring adapter tightly connected to the outlet opening. The plurality of regions of the connection include a more resilient region and a less resilient region that are arranged between the chamber and the outlet opening. When the chamber is compressed to discharge the substance through the outlet opening, the less resilient region is configured to come undone and the more resilient region is configured to remain connected so that the substance can be discharged solely through the outlet opening and the pouring adapter by compressing the chamber.

FLUID INFUSION SYSTEM
20200139045 · 2020-05-07 ·

A fluid infusion system includes an air pump connected to an accumulator tank to produce pressurized air that is stored in the accumulator tank. The system can include one or more fluid bag chambers wherein each fluid bag chamber includes an inflatable bladder positioned inside the fluid bag chamber to apply pressure on the fluid bag supported inside the chamber. The fluid bag can be connected by a tube set to deliver fluid from the fluid bag to a surgical tool at a surgical site. The fluid can, for example, be irrigation fluid or distention fluid. The system can include a controller connected to the pump to control the pump to produce the pressurized air and an adjustable pressure regulator can be connected between the accumulator tank and the inflatable bladder to control the pressure of air delivered to the inflatable bladder and the pressure that the fluid is delivered to the surgical tool. A pressure sensor can be connected between the adjustable pressure regulator and the inflatable bladder to measure the air pressure delivered to the inflatable bladder and send the air pressure measurements to the controller. The controller can configure the system display to show the air pressure measured by the pressure sensor.
