Fluid dispensing apparatus for irrigating a body cavity
A fluid dispensing apparatus for irrigating a body cavity includes a fluid container assembly, a cap member, and a tip member. The fluid container assembly defines a longitudinal axis and includes a fluid container and an inlet assembly fixedly secured to the fluid container. The cap member is selectively rotatably attached to the inlet assembly. The tip member is selectively attachable to the cap member in response to rotation of the tip member about the longitudinal axis of the fluid container assembly.
Devices for cooling the nasal cavity
A method for cerebral cooling is described using a cooling assembly, which includes first and second elongate tubular members adapted for insertion into a nasal cavity of a patient through the patient's nostrils. The elongate tubular members each have a proximal end, a distal end, a lumen extending therebetween, and a plurality of ports in fluid communication with the lumen. The cooling assembly also includes a manifold and a reservoir, which contains a pressurized fluid that includes a propellant having a boiling point less than 22 C. The elongate tubular members are inserted into the nasal cavity through the patient's nostrils and pressurized fluid is delivered onto a surface of the nasal cavity by infusing the pressurized fluid from the reservoir through the manifold, into the lumens and through the plurality of ports of the first and second elongate tubular members.
Nasal douche with valve that can be actuated by respiratory air
A nasal douche having a valve, container part and cap part, wherein the container part serves to receive irrigation liquid and carries cap part. The cap part has a nose attachment with an outlet opening for irrigation liquid connected fluidically to interior of container part via discharge channel, wherein nose attachment is intended to be attached to a nostril of the user. The container part or cap part is assigned a mouthpiece for controlling the valve, wherein the valve is closed in a rest position and flow of irrigation liquid out through the nose attachment is thus suppressed, and wherein the valve can be brought to an open position, under the action of respiratory air when the user blows into the mouthpiece, and irrigation liquid thus flows out through the nose attachment, wherein respiratory air or ambient air flows into the container part to allow the outward flow.
Sterile surgical tray
A surgical apparatus for use by a surgeon can include a tray and a plurality of surgical instruments. The tray can have a plurality of structures located on an upper side of the tray for receiving the plurality of surgical instruments. The tray can receive a separate control unit. The tray can also have a fluid reservoir receiver for receiving a bottle or container of fluid, such as balanced salt solution. The fluid reservoir receiver can include one or more features, including, a spike, an air vent, and a light. A separate container can be used to place the bottle or container of fluid into the fluid reservoir receiver on the tray. This separate container can include a collapsible section.
SPLASH BLEU
A personal hygiene bottle and kit includes a mini squeeze bottle filled with water and H.sub.2O.sub.2 (hydrogen peroxide) solution. This squeeze bottle will be used to splash away the particles and debris on and near the vagina during a woman's menstrual cycle. This product will be sold separately in a dual pack, or in a kit which will include a carrying pouch with dry wipes, two Splash, and a mini-douche with water and H.sub.2O.sub.2 solution. The present invention eliminates particles and bacteria that may occur during a woman's menstruation cycle. The water and H.sub.2O.sub.2 solution (mini douche) kills bacteria.
View definition enhancement system and method for gastrointestinal endoscope diagnosis and treatment
A view definition enhancement system for gastrointestinal endoscope diagnosis and treatment (ESCGV) comprises a washing bottle (1) and a liquid delivery pipe (2) led out from the washing bottle (1). The liquid delivery pipe (2) pumps washing liquid to a liquid inlet system of a gastrointestinal endoscope or an observation window of the gastrointestinal endoscope through a first peristaltic pump (3); and the washing bottle (1) is further provided with a stirring and heating subsystem capable of stirring and heating the washing liquid. A view definition enhancement method for gastrointestinal endoscope diagnosis and treatment comprises steps of: 1) adding the washing liquid into the washing bottle (1); 2) magnetically stirring the washing liquid in the washing bottle (1), and heating the washing liquid at the same time; 3) setting the temperature of the washing liquid to 25-38 C.; and 4) delivering the washing liquid into the observation window of the gastrointestinal endoscope. The ESCGV can enhance the view definition under the gastrointestinal endoscope, make the operation simple and convenient, reduce the missed diagnosis and erroneous diagnosis, and improve the treatment quality of the gastrointestinal endoscope.
Composition for the Treatment of Fistula
A composition for use in the treatment of fistula, the composition comprising activated carbon.
Lower body cavity treatment methods and devices using carbon dioxide and saline
A method of treatment for mixed carbon dioxide, carbonic acid, saline and optional active additives for treating lower body cavity ailments includes delivery of dosage of the treatment at specified flow rates, using a) main housing having a hollow central area containing the dosage; b) a dosage dispenser head located at the distal end of the main housing, and having at least one flow channel for movement of the dosage from the main housing through the dosage dispenser head and to external of the dosage dispenser head; c) a dosage release control component located between the main housing and the dosage dispenser head to permit flow of the dosage through the dosage dispenser head in response to increased pressure against the dosage; and d) a pressure-changing moveable component on the main housing.
Nasal irrigation device and system with faux collapsible cartridge element
A nasal irrigation device communicates an irrigant to a device user and comprises a mechanics module and a reservoir assembly wherein a source of saline comprising a cartridge is disposed within the mechanics module adjacent a lid assembly for piercing the cartridge upon closing of a lid for releasing the cartridge contents into the reservoir assembly. A faux collapsible cartridge for testing operability of a nasal irrigation device comprises a housing including a shaft, a spring biased rod extending from the housing shaft, and a flange depending from a housing wall whereby the rod and flange are disposed to actuate a trigger assembly of the nasal irrigation device.
