Device and method for the lavage-type introduction of a fecal transplant or of a therapeutically effective substance into the colon of a patient
A device and a method for a lavage-type introduction of a stool transplant or of another, local or topically effective substance through the anus into the colon of a patient, wherein the substance to be introduced is flushed also into the upper parts of the colon of the patient in a torrent-like manner through correspondingly large-lumen catheters; said device comprises an ano-rectal placed head part remaining inside the patient from the beginning until the end of the application and a system of exchangeable bags, which are connectable to the head part, whereby two different types of bags can be applied, one of which is designed for the cleaning lavage, while the another is designed for the introduction of a substance or a transplant.
ACCURATE IRRIGATION RATE MEASURMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
In one embodiment, an irrigated medical system includes a medical tool, an irrigation line configured to fluidically connect an irrigation reservoir storing irrigation fluid to the medical tool, and provide at least some of the irrigation fluid to the medical tool, a force sensor configured to be coupled with the irrigation reservoir, and provide a signal responsively to a force exerted by the irrigation reservoir on the force sensor over time as irrigation fluid in the irrigation reservoir is depleted, and a controller configured to find an irrigation rate of the irrigation fluid flowing in the irrigation line responsively to the signal.
VENOUS-TO-VENOUS LOCO-REGIONAL DELIVERY OF A THERAPEUTIC AGENT
The methods, systems, and devices disclosed herein generally involve a venous-to-venous delivery of drugs to a targeted region within a patient. A triple lumen catheter device is disclosed that is particularly suitable for delivery of therapeutic drugs via a closed loop, preventing the circulation of toxic agents throughout the body, thereby creating an isolated treatment zone that maximizes local therapeutic concentrations while preventing agents from escaping to the rest of the body.
Stool management system
A stool management system having a tubular body including a first end section disposable in a rectum of a patient and a second end section including a first connector which detachably mates with a second connector coupled to a collection container which receives waste matter passed through the tubular body from the bowel of the patient.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOVAL OF BLOOD AND THROMBOTIC MATERIAL
An extension conduit for use with a system for aspirating thrombus includes a passageway extending between a distal end and a proximal end of the extension conduit, and a combined hydraulic and electrical control carried on the extension conduit and configured to be activated by a user to activate an electric switch while opening a valve to allow flow through the passageway.
FECAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Fecal management methods and apparatuses (e.g., devices, systems, etc.) are described herein. The fecal management apparatuses may apply one or more fecal removal cycles of suction and irrigation (and in some examples air) to actively remove fecal material. The apparatus may control the timing of delivery of the fecal removal cycles as well as the parameters of the applied suction, irrigation and/or air within and between fecal removal cycles. The invention additionally provides methods, and computer program products for controlling an apparatus or system that is configured for removal of fecal material from a patient's rectum.
Colon evacuation without collapse
Methods of colon cleansing and/or inspection are described which safely maintain a colon in an uncollapsed state. Balanced replacement of a volume of fluid, gas and/or solids evacuated during cleansing of the colon is described. Replacement volume comprises, for example, cleansing fluid, jetting gas, and/or inflation gas. In some embodiments, balancing of evacuated and replacement volume is achieved under automatic control, based on monitored volume of material exchange, and/or measurement of resulting pressures.
Surgical hand-piece with a bottom fluid tube convertible from irrigation to aspiration
A work tip for an ultrasonic surgical hand piece has a solid knife with a sharp distal edge. A first fluid tube located on one side of the knife and has open ends to receive or discharge fluid. A second fluid tube is located on the other side of the knife and is slidably connected with the knife. The second fluid tube has an opening at a distal end and a smaller side hole. During phacoemulsification the knife is vibrated independent of the fluid tubes. The second fluid tube has irrigation fluid passing from the opening and side hole, and the first fluid tube is positioned so as to receive fluid from the second tube. During I/A cleanup the second fluid tube receives aspiration fluid only through the side hole because the knife is positioned to block the aspiration fluid from entering through the opening.
A Disposable Flushing and Suction Drainage Tube and Its Operation Method
A disposable flushing and suction drainage tube and a-using method thereof comprises a flushing tube, a suction tube, and a mounting base. The flushing tube and the suction tube are respectively mounted at one end of the mounting base, and an air connector and a water connector are mounted at the other end; the mounting base comprises a tube body base and a control base, the flushing tube and the suction tube are mounted at one end of the tube body base, and the other end is detachably connected to the control base. The disposable flushing and suction drainage tube controls suction for the suction tube by a negative pressure adjusting opening on the mounting base; opening, closing, and water flow of the flushing tube is controlled by a water control switch on the mounting base, and switching between flushing and drainage and the flow of drainage can be controlled.
VERTICAL-FLAT-ARRANGEMENT-TYPE SUCTION AND IRRIGATION DEVICE
Disclosed herein is a vertical-flat-arrangement-type suction and irrigation device which is easy to operate. The vertical-flat-arrangement-type suction and irrigation device includes a housing, a probe, and a suction and supply unit. The housing include a front chamber and a rear chamber spaced apart from each other and connected via a connection duct, a first duct connected to a front of the front chamber and extending forwards, a second duct connected to a rear of the front chamber and extending rearwards, and a third duct connected to a rear of the rear chamber and extending rearwards. The suction and supply unit includes a supply valve reciprocally moved inside the front chamber in an axial direction of the front chamber and a suction valve reciprocally moved inside the rear chamber in an axial direction of the rear chamber.
