Dual lumen surgical hand-piece with ultrasonic knife
A surgical hand piece has a solid surgical knife connected to a source of ultrasonic energy. Two or more rigid plastic irrigation and aspiration tubes are provided alongside the knife and they may be supported with respect to the knife by tube holders fastened to the hand piece housing for the source of ultrasonic energy. The rigid plastic tubes may be connected toward their distal ends by a support in the form of bands about the tubes and knife, a sleeve about the tubes and knife or a sleeve about the knife with the tubes supported on the external surface thereof.
IRRIGATION FUNCTION-EQUIPPED SUCTION DEVICE
An irrigation function-equipped suction device including a suction device body, a suction path, an irrigation path and a flexible tube. With communication or closing of the suction path and the flexible tube by a first switch mechanism, the irrigation path and the flexible tube are caused to be closed off from each other or to communicate with each other by a second switch mechanism. The first switch mechanism is provided in a first section inside the suction device body, and the second switch mechanism is provided inside the irrigation path between the conversion mechanism and the flexible tube. The closing valve included in the second switch mechanism is disposed at a position on a side opposite to the flexible tube relative to the first switch mechanism and the conversion mechanism.
PERCUTANEOUS SHEATH FOR ROBOTIC MEDICAL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Certain aspects relate to percutaneous sheaths for medical procedures as well as to related systems and methods. For example, a system for performing a percutaneous assisted medical procedure can include a percutaneous sheath. The percutaneous sheath can include a first conduit for providing aspiration into the kidney and a second conduit for passing a catheter into the kidney. The system can also include an aspiration catheter configured to be inserted into the kidney through the second conduit of the percutaneous sheath. A fluidics system can include an irrigation source comprising a pump and an aspiration source comprising a vacuum. The irrigation source can be connected to a fluid inlet of the percutaneous sheath that is connected to the first conduit. The aspiration source can be connected to the aspiration catheter.
MICRO/NANOBUBBLE SOLUTIONS FOR TISSUE PRESERVATION AND GENERATION THEREOF
The invention provides an apparatus for the generation and administration of a micro-nanobubble solution to a tissue, a method for the treatment of a tissue with a solution of micro-nanobubbles, and a kit for the treatment of tissue with micro-nanobubbles.
IRRIGATION ASSEMBLY
An assembly structured for concurrent irrigation and aspiration of a nasal cavity including a housing having a supply container disposed therein for the removable retention of irrigating fluid. A nasal applicator comprises first and second passages respectfully structured to deliver irrigating fluid to the nasal cavity and concurrently remove waste fluid therefrom. An activating assembly includes a plunger biased into a continuous pressure applying, dispensing relation to the irrigating fluid and a valve assembly is selectively disposable into an open position facilitating fluid communication between the supply container and the applicator for the delivery of the irrigating fluid therethrough into the nasal cavity. The activating assembly is further structured to create a negative pressure within the chamber which communicates with the second passage of the applicator to facilitate delivery of the waste fluid therefrom along a path of travel to an interior of the chamber.
Sinus ostia dilation system
A system for dilating the sinus ostia with a device including a series of elongated members, each having a central channel and increasing outer diameters where the members are positioned one over the other such that the members are advanced to incrementally dilate the sinus ostia. The central channels of each member allow for various procedures to be performed including, for example, the application of wireless energy (e.g., ultrasonic, RF, etc.) to the sinus ostia, the introduction of an irrigating fluid and aspiration from the sinus ostia, and the introduction of a drug to the sinus ostia.
Combined coaxial and bimanual irrigation/aspiration apparatus
A hand piece having an irrigation portion and an aspiration portion that are releasably coupled is disclosed. In an assembled configuration, the irrigation portion and the aspiration portion are coupled such that the hand piece may be manipulable by a user as a single unit. In a separated configuration, the irrigation portion and the aspiration portion may be utilized separate from each other. The irrigation portion and the aspiration portion may be freely moved between the assembled configuration and the separated configuration.
Control of surgical field irrigation by electrosurgical tool
A surgical system includes an electrosurgical tool configured to be releasably coupled to a surgical robotic system having a control system. The tool has a shaft having an end effector with treatment electrodes configured to apply electrosurgical power to a tissue, and aspiration and irrigation tubes having ports in the vicinity of the electrodes. The control system can control a flow rate of an irrigation fluid based on deviation of power delivered by the electrodes to the tissue from a power set point, or based on an aspiration rate that is controlled based on tissue impedance. The tool can have first and second ports and a conduit configured to selectively provide or aspirate fluids through at least one of the ports. At least one of a flow rate and an aspiration rate are controlled by the control system based on a rotational angle of the shaft relative to a ground.
Surgical fluid management system
A fluid management system includes a disposable cassette carrying inflow and outflow tubing sections that are configured for releasably mating with a console including a control unit and a pair of roller pump heads. The console may automatically identify the disposable cassette and weigh the fluid in an inflow source. During operation, the system can monitor pressure in the working space, and provide for inflow and outflow control to maintain any desired operating parameters.
SUCTION DEVICE
A suction device includes an outer tube having an inlet at a first end and an inner suction tube located within the outer tube, the inner suction tube having an inlet at a first end corresponding to the first end of the outer tube. The inlet of the inner suction tube is offset by a distance from the inlet of the outer suction tube, such that the inlet of the inner suction tube is located within the outer suction tube.
