There is provided a resistor in which a first resistive part of a resistive element that electrically conducts between a pair of electrodes formed on either end of an insulating substrate has a meandering pattern meandering on the substrate surface and a swelling pattern that has a form in which a part of the meandering pattern swells out from the stroke width of the meandering pattern, a second resistive part that is electrically connected in series to the first resistive part is shorter than the entire length of the first resistive part, and has a wider width than the stroke width of the meandering pattern, and a trimming groove is formed in at least either the swelling pattern or the second resistive part. This can improve resistance accuracy and provide a high voltage resistor with high withstand voltage property.

A shunt resistor the resistive value of which can be lowered simply and easily has: a first resistive body, two base materials that sandwich the first resistive body therebetween and are joined by a welding to the first resistive body, and a second resistive body joined by a welding to the two base materials at different positions from the first resistive body. In addition, the second resistive body can come into contact with the first resistive body.

Power resistor

A power resistor is disclosed, having at least one electrical connection, having a carrier substrate, which has at least one resistor element composed of a thick-film material and at least one contact electrode to which the resistor element electrically connects, having at least one electrical conductor, which is soldered to the contact electrode and produces an electrical connection between the contact electrode and the electrical terminal, and having a housing, which is at least partially filled with at least one casting compound and in which the resistor element and contact electrode are encapsulated, with the electrical conductor protruding out through the casting compound. In order to achieve a simply designed and easy-to-use power resistor, it is proposed for a pin, in particular a soldering pin or press-fitting pin, to constitute the electrical conductor, which pin is placed onto the contact electrode and soldered to it and constitutes the electrical terminal of the power resistor.

Power diffusing assembly for a fluid and method for manufacturing the power diffusing assembly

A power diffusing assembly includes a power diffusing body disposed along a flow path of a compressible fluid. The power diffusing body includes passages extending through the power diffusing body and through which at least part of the fluid flows through the power diffusing body. The power diffusing body receives an incoming flow profile of the fluid on an inlet side of the power diffusing body, directs the fluid through the passages in the power diffusing body, and outputs an outgoing flow profile of the fluid out of an outlet side of the power diffusing body. Arrangements of the passages in the power diffusing body are based on the incoming flow profile of the fluid that are received by the power diffusing body and are based on a desired profile of the outgoing flow profile of the fluid exiting out of the power diffusing body.

Resistor element

The present invention provides a structure of resistor element, which comprises a protective layer around electrodes to elongate the path of corrosion when gaseous water or sulfur leaking in. Therefore, the protective layer structure can elongate the life of the resistor element.
