The device further comprises an injection device (4) and transfer mechanism (5) for transferring the liquid from the second container (3) to the first container (2) and from the first container (2) to the injection device (4). The first container (2) has a connection element (7) and a plunger (9) that can be moved between the first (6) and second ends (8). By moving the plunger (9) towards the first end (6), liquid contained therein can be dispensed via the injection device (4). The injection device (4) comprises a piercing cannula (15) and an indwelling cannula (16). In an initial position, a distal end region of the piercing cannula (15) extends coaxially in the interior of the indwelling cannula (16).

Combinatorial drug delivery device

In one aspect, a combinatorial drug delivery device is provided for delivering a predetermined selection of drug components. The device includes a plurality of modules, each including: a body having an interior volume; a spike plate movably disposed in the interior volume, the spike plate having a protruding cannula and first and second ports. The device also includes a base tray which includes: a framework defining a plurality of wells, each of the wells formed to insertingly receive one of the modules; for each of the wells, first and second inlet ports formed to interface with the first and second ports of the module being received in the respective well; passageways to connect certain wells with adjacent wells to permit fluid flow therebetween. For each of the wells, the spike plate of the respective module being maintained in a stationary position with the module being inserted into the well.

Unified Drug Mixer And Dispenser

A unified dispenser for holding, mixing, and dispensing a drug includes a housing holding a diluent reservoir, a drug reservoir, and a tubing set connecting and defining a fluid communication path therebetween. A first occlusion is at the diluent reservoir, and a second occlusion is at the drug reservoir. In a storage state of the dispenser, the first and second occlusions are entirely encased within the housing and occlude the fluid communication path. First and second pull assemblies extend outside the housing. The first and second pull assemblies are coupled to the first and second occlusions, respectively, so that removal of the first and second pull assemblies removes the first and second occlusions and joins the diluent reservoir to the drug reservoir in fluid communication through the tubing set, thereby arranging the dispenser from the storage state to a use state.

Mechanical injection pump and method of use

A mechanical injection pump wearable by a user to deliver a first fluid and a second fluid, including: a pump body having a first fluid chamber to hold the first fluid and a second fluid chamber to hold the second fluid; a common connector having a first inlet, a second inlet, and a common outlet; a first fluid system including the first fluid chamber, a first button drive connected to the first fluid chamber, and first fluid delivery path between the first fluid chamber and the first inlet; and a second fluid system including the second fluid chamber, a second button drive connected to the second fluid chamber, and second fluid delivery path between the second fluid chamber and the second inlet. Force by the user on the button drive increases pressure within the fluid chamber to drive a predetermined volume of the fluid from the fluid chamber.

Micro infusion device for drug delivery
09731105 · 2017-08-15 · ·

A device introduced small volumes of fluid for delivery to a patient through a fluid line. The device includes a first arm adapted to receive a syringe and a second arm fluidly connected to an upstream reservoir that defines an internal volume adapted to receive a volume of fluid. The device includes a fluid obstruction mechanism configured to selectably block flow of fluid from the reservoir toward the patient, wherein the fluid obstruction mechanism transitions between a first state that permits fluid flow from the reservoir toward the patient and a second state that directs fluid flow from the syringe into the reservoir while blocking fluid flow from the reservoir toward the patient.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR THE PREPARATION OF A NUTRITIONAL FORMULA

Exemplary embodiments of the disclosure may be drawn to a device having an inlet and a chamber. Immobilized lipase, immobilized protease, and immobilized amylase may be contained within the chamber. The device may also include an outlet, wherein a flow path extends from the inlet, through the chamber, and to the outlet.

Passive restart Y-site
09724464 · 2017-08-08 · ·

A fluid delivery Y-site is described that is configured to receive and control delivery of two or more fluid flows. Fluid flow is controlled within a chamber by a valve and float. Flow of a primary fluid into the chamber is reduced or halted by the movement of a valve. The valve may occlude a first flow port into the chamber in response fluid flowing from a second flow port into the chamber. A float is moveably disposed within the chamber and configured to engage the valve in response a fluid flow into the chamber from the second flow port. As fluid flow from the second flow port into the chamber is reduced or ceases, the valve and float allow the flow from the primary flow port to once again enter the chamber and exit from an outlet port.

VALVE AND A METHOD FOR ADMINISTERING A PLURALITY OF DRUG FLUIDS
20170258991 · 2017-09-14 · ·

A valve and a method for administering a plurality of drug fluids to a patient are disclosed. For each drug fluid, the valve may be rotated into a selected drug position associated with the drug fluid. With the valve being in the selected drug position, a backpriming may be performed of a connector line of a drug container containing the drug fluid. Thereafter, the drug fluid may be administered with the valve being in the same selected drug position. Thereafter, the valve may be flushed, optionally while maintaining the same selected valve position.

RADIOEMBOLIZATION DELIVERY DEVICE

A delivery assembly includes a console including a vial containment region and a vial engagement mechanism extending from the console within the vial containment region. The engagement mechanism is configured to engage a vial assembly. The delivery assembly further includes a sled assembly removably coupled to the console at the vial containment region and a safety shield removably coupled to the console over the vial containment region such that the vial engagement mechanism and the sled assembly are encapsulated within the safety shield when the safety shield is coupled thereto. The sled assembly, the vial assembly, and the safety shield are configured to inhibit radioactive emissions from within the vial containment region.

INTRADERMAL DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
20220193385 · 2022-06-23 · ·

An intradermal fluid delivery device that uses a processor controlled electromechanical delivery mechanism is provided. An air pump pushes fluid containing medication or saline from a fluid compartment through a microneedle array into a person's skin. The processor repeatedly turns the air pump on or off, for the fluid to gradually be injected into the person's skin. The processor may be configured to control the total fluid delivery time as well as the granularity of the fluid delivery. The total fluid delivery time may be set to T, and the time period T may be divided into smaller periods t.sub.1 to t.sub.n, where the fluid may be administered in a period t1, the fluid delivery may then be stopped for a period t2, followed by another fluid delivery period, etc. The periods t1 to tn may be the same or of different lengths.
