MULTI-POLE MOLDED CASE CIRCUIT BREAKER
20170236671 · 2017-08-17 · ·

The present invention relates to a multi-pole molded case circuit breaker, more particularly, to a multi-pole molded case circuit breaker having a safety device (with an isolation function) which prevents a manipulation handle from being moved to an off-position when a fusion occurs on a contact portion.

Low voltage circuit breaker with a control device for re-closing said low voltage circuit breaker
09734974 · 2017-08-15 · ·

The present invention refers to a low voltage circuit breaker with a control device for re-closing said low voltage circuit breaker. The control device is provided with an actuating element, comprising a shape memory material and operatively associated with maneuvering means for the circuit breaker. When this shape memory material performs a state transition, the actuating element causes the movement of said maneuvering means from a first operative position, associated with an open configuration of the circuit breaker, to a second operative position, associated with a closed configuration of the circuit breaker.

INDUSTRIAL CUT-OFF SWITCH FOR VISUAL IDENTIFICATION OF POWER SYSTEM CUT-OFF STATUS

Disclosed herein is an industrial cut-off switch for visual identification of power system cut-off status. The industrial cut-off switch includes an enclosure having an accommodation space therein, a handle disposed on an outer surface of the enclosure and having a gripping part extending in one direction, and a switch unit disposed inside the enclosure, and connected to the handle operated to adjust an on/off state of the switch unit.

CIRCUIT BREAKER STATUS INDICATING SYSTEM FOR SWITCHGEAR AUXILIARY SWITCH

Systems and methods for indicating an operational status of a circuit breaker within a switchgear comprise providing a mechanism-operated control (MOC) assembly arranged within a housing of the circuit breaker. A drive plate is slidably mounted on a wall of the switchgear adjacent to the MOC assembly. A drive arm is pivotably mounted at one end on the wall of the switchgear, the drive arm engaged at an opposite end thereof with the drive plate. A status indicator is disposed on the wall of the switchgear, wherein changing an operational state of the circuit breaker mechanically operates the MOC assembly to slide the drive plate in a direction that pivots the drive arm from a first position to a second position, the first and second positions of the drive arm being visible externally of the switchgear through the status indicator.

An apparatus for an electrical control assembly having at least one control member that is electrically connected to an electrical component, the at least one control member supported by an attachment assembly, which is disposed in a cavity of the electrical control assembly and includes a recess, the at least one control member movable between a first position and a second position is disclosed. The apparatus includes a structural assembly that is removably insertable in the recess of the attachment assembly, a through-beam emitter having an emitter member that is attached to a first end portion of the structural assembly and a receiver member that is attached to a second end portion of the structural assembly, the emitter member aligned to emit a light beam along a straight line of sight to the receiver member, and an electrical circuit.

Status indicator for switchgear

A switchgear assembly includes an indicator assembly to indicate whether a movable contact is in an open or a closed position. The indicator assembly includes an indicator body having first and second sections. The indicator body is rotatable to display the first section in the open position and the second section in the closed position. The indicator assembly also includes a drive gear having a first helical spline and coupled to an actuator of the switchgear assembly such that operation of the actuator moves the drive gear, and an elongated driven gear having a second helical spline extending along a length of the driven gear and engaged with the first helical spline of the drive gear such that movement of the drive gear rotates the driven gear. The driven gear is coupled to the indicator body such that rotation of the driven gear causes rotation of the indicator body.

CIRCUIT PROTECTION DEVICE TRIP DETECTOR

A device (100) for monitoring the status of breakers (20) within a consumer unit (10). The device (100) uses a non-contact, optical sensor (104), such as an IR break-beam sensor (106, 108), or an optical time-of-flight sensor (106, 108) to monitor the positions of the toggle switches (22) on the breakers (20). In the event that one or more of the switches moves to an “off” position (22), an alarm is triggered, such as by sending an SMS message to a user, to alert them of the fact. The device (100) also monitors the consumer unit's power status (1020) and can warn in the event of a power outage of a master isolator or RCD trip. A UPS (1030, 1032, 1034) is suitably provided to enable the device to continue working during a mains power failure.
