Methods and devices for percutaneous implantation of arterio-venous grafts

Methods, devices, and kits for implanting a vascular graft to perform hemodialysis treatments on patients with renal failure are disclosed. The kits can include access devices comprised of an access catheter having a guidewire lumen and stylet lumen, a guide tube having a curved distal end, a stylet, an actuator handle and a vascular graft. The methods describe techniques for using the described kits and devices for performing vascular procedures, such as percutaneous implantation of the vascular graft.

Method for delivery of prosthetic aortic valve

Methods of delivering a prosthetic aortic heart valve are disclosed. The disclosed methods include loading a prosthetic aortic valve in a collapsed configuration into a delivery sheath so that a selected point on the prosthetic valve is rotationally aligned relative to a long axis of the delivery sheath with a selected radiopaque marker on the delivery sheath, while under fluoroscopic imaging, rotating the delivery sheath about its long axis to align a selected radiopaque marker on the delivery sheath with the selected point on the native aortic valve in a fluoroscopic imaging plane, thereby establishing a desired orientation of the prosthetic aortic valve with respect to the native aortic valve in which the prosthetic valve commissures are rotationally aligned with commissures of the native aortic valve, further advancing the delivery sheath along its long axis until the prosthetic aortic valve is disposed inside the native aortic valve, and deploying the prosthetic aortic valve into an implanted state inside the native aortic valve with the prosthetic aortic valve aligned in the desired orientation with respect to the native aortic valve.

Reentry catheters and methods for traversing chronic total occlusions

A reentry catheter for crossing a vascular occlusion includes an elongate flexible tubular body, having a proximal end, a distal end and at least one lumen extending there through. A reentry zone on the tubular body includes at least two and preferably three sets of opposing pairs of axially spaced exit apertures in communication with the lumen. The apertures are rotationally offset from each other and aligned in a spiral pattern around the tubular body. A method of crossing a chronic total occlusion includes the steps of advancing the reentry catheter across the occlusion via a channel formed in the subintimal space, and advancing a guidewire via a selected exit port into the native lumen distally of the occlusion. The catheter may be removed, leaving the guidewire across the occlusion to guide further interventional devices.

Annulus Plane Catheter

A coaxial multilumen annulus plane catheter, including an outer pigtail catheter enclosing one or two additional lumens, each housing either a slidable shaped wire or a second pigtail catheter shaped to fit into a wide range of annulus diameters and/or depths. In embodiments, the device may include a catheter delivery handle with thumb/finger-actuated sliders that extend or retract the shaped wires and are sized to enable side-to-side or radial motion, imparting a torque to the pre-shaped wires which translates the length of the wires to enable individually controlled rotation or sweep of each wire to accommodate different annulus diameters. The delivery handle includes hemostasis controls and flush ports. In other embodiments, a handle is obviated by direct lumen axial and rotational control at a proximal end.

The present disclosure relates to novel and advantageous systems and methods for deploying a surgical tool or guidewire. Particularly, the present disclosure relates to novel and advantageous systems and methods for deploying a surgical tool for use in changing the shape of portions of luminal systems. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to novel and advantageous systems and methods including an access catheter to direct an implement, such as a guide wire, off axis into a wall of a vessel or a wall of a tissue structure.

CATHETER

A catheter includes a shaft having a lumen extending from a distal end to a proximal end. The shaft includes a reinforcement body including a plurality of wires that are disposed on at least a part between an inner surface of the shaft forming the lumen and an outer surface of the shaft and that are braided in a tubular shape, and at least one radiopaque marker disposed between the reinforcement body and the outer surface of the shaft. An outer diameter difference, which is a difference between an outer diameter of the shaft in a portion where the marker is disposed and an outer diameter of the shaft in a portion adjacent to the marker in an axial direction of the shaft, is smaller than twice a thickness of the marker.

Apparatus and methods for loading suture

Various embodiments of a cartridge are disclosed, for loading a suture onto a suturing instrument and, in some embodiments, for loading a pre-tied knot formed from the suture onto the suturing instrument. The suturing instrument is typically of the type having a suture passing member defining a suture receiving passage therein. The cartridge may be operable to load the suture and/or the knot onto the suturing instrument at a point of use. In some embodiments, the cartridge defines a path for insertion thereto and withdrawal therefrom of the suturing instrument. The cartridge further comprises a seat for releasably holding a portion of a suture and a mechanism for transferring the suture from seat to the suturing instrument, various features of which are described herein.

Medical tool positioning devices, systems, and methods of use and manufacture

Medical tool positioning and control devices, systems, and methods. Handle assemblies that allow a steerable shaft to be steered, while allowing the separate movement of a medical tool. The handle assemblies can allow for rotation and axial movement of the medical tool, and optionally with an actuator disposed distal to a second actuator that controls steering of the steerable shaft.

Transvenous intracardiac pacing catheter with sequentially deployable leads

The embodiments described herein relate to a self-positioning, quick-deployment low profile transvenous electrode system for sequentially pacing both the atrium and ventricle of the heart in the “dual chamber” mode, and methods for deploying the same.

Systems, Methods and Devices for Forming Respiratory-Gated Point Cloud for Four Dimensional Soft Tissue Navigation

A surgical instrument navigation system and method of use is provided that visually simulates a virtual volumetric scene of a body cavity of a patient from a point of view of a surgical instrument residing in the cavity of the patient, wherein the surgical instrument, as provided, may be a steerable surgical catheter with a biopsy device and/or a surgical catheter with a side-exiting medical instrument, among others.
