Retention anchor for surgical access devices
A surgical access assembly includes a cannula and a retention anchor including an annular body and a washer secured to the annular body. The annular body includes an inner side surface defining an opening therethrough, and the washer includes an inner terminal edge defining an opening therethrough that is aligned with the opening of the annular body. The elongated shaft of the cannula extends through the openings. The washer is transitionable between a first configuration in which the inner terminal edge of the washer is coincident with or disposed radially outwardly of the inner side surface of the annular body so that the retention anchor is slidable along the elongated shaft, and a second configuration in which the inner terminal edge of the washer extends radially inwardly of the inner side surface of the annular body and engages the elongated shaft to fix the retention anchor to the elongated shaft.
Non-Integrated Catheter System Having an Extension Set
A catheter system may include a catheter adapter, which may include a distal end and a proximal end aligned with the distal end. The catheter system may include a catheter extending from the distal end of the catheter adapter. The catheter system may include an extension set, which may include a distal end, which may include a first connector coupled to the proximal end of the catheter adapter. The extension set may include a second connector and an extension tube disposed between the first connector and the second connector. The catheter, the catheter adapter, the first connector, the extension tube, and the second connector may be in fluid communication. The catheter system may include a stabilization platform disposed below the first connector.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A CATHETER/PROBE POSITIONING AND STABILIZATION CLAMP
A system and method for assisting medical professionals while controlling catheters/probes is provided. The device generally comprises an attachment device, top piece, bottom piece, hinge, locking element, and friction producing pads. A medical professional may manipulate the device in a way that allows for better control of a catheter/probe in at least one direction. The device is configured to be contained within a sterile packaging until ready for use. In some embodiments, the device may be attached to a patient's drape during a procedure so that the catheter/probe may be properly aligned with a sheath used during a procedure.
Fixation of medical tubing with fluidum filled chamber
A medical device (100) for securing a catheter (700) to a support (600) is described, comprising a base element (200) having a first side (201) fixable to the support (600), and a second side (202) opposite the first side (201), and comprising a top element (500) having a first side (501) connectable with the second side (202) of the base element (200). When the first side (501) of the top element (500) is connected with the second side (202) of the base element (200), the top element (500) and the base element (200) are arranged for forming a feedthrough for the catheter (700) between the second side (202) of the base element (200) and the first side (501) of the top element (500). At least one of the base element (200) and the top element (500) comprises a deformable fluidum filled chamber (430), the deformable fluidum filled chamber (430) arranged such that the catheter (700) is locally tightly held between the base element (200) and the top element (500) when positioned there between.
Radial Artery Sheath Assembly
A radial artery sheath assembly includes a cuff that is wearable around a patient's wrist and a receiver is integrated into the cuff. The cuff is inflatable to compress an incision in the patient's wrist to achieve homeostasis for stopping bleeding. A ring is removably attachable to the cuff and a radial sheath is extendable through the ring to retain the radial sheath in the incision in the user's wrist when the ring is attached to the cuff. The ring is inflatable for compressing the radial sheath in the ring to inhibit the radial sheath from being removed from the incision. A lock is coupled to the ring and the lock releasably engages the receiver in the cuff for attaching the ring to the cuff.
Method and apparatus for rectal anaesthesia
A system and method for delivering a medicament including a catheter configured for implantation in different target tissue sites, extending from a proximal end to a distal end, and having a sidewall which defines an internal lumen. The distal end has one or more apertures in the sidewall for the release of the medicament into the target tissue site; the system also comprises a medicament reservoir fluidly communicable with the internal lumen of each catheter, an adhesive member configured to adhere to the skin of the patient around the exit wound and having an opening therein to allow the catheters to pass through the adhesive member and a retaining member configured to be overlaid on the adhesive member and comprising a guide surface configured to receive a length of the two or more catheters and a plurality of retaining portions to retain the catheters against the guide surface.
Guide extension catheter
Guide extension catheters and related methods are disclosed. A guide extension catheter can comprise an elongate tube member, a push member, and an external manipulation member. The push member can be eccentrically coupled relative to the tube member and extend proximally therefrom for slidably positioning the tube member within and partially beyond a distal end of a guide catheter. The manipulation member can be coupled to a proximal end of the push member, where the manipulation member can be configured to secure the guide extension catheter in place during use by attaching to an external object such that the tube member and push member remain stationary without user engagement.
Endoscopic medical device and method of use
A medical device including a handle body having a proximal end and a distal end, a spool on the handle body and to move between the distal end and the proximal end of the handle body, a catheter extending from the distal end of the handle body, an actuator attached to the spool and extending through the catheter, such that the actuator is removably connected to one or more dispensable devices at a distal end of the catheter, a spool controller to prevent connection with another of the dispensable devices to the actuator after a predetermined number of dispensable devices have been dispensed by the medical device.
INTRODUCER LOCK APPARATUS
Apparatuses and methods for retaining a catheter are disclosed. In particular, described herein are apparatuses (e.g., introducer lock apparatuses, devices and systems including them) and methods for securing a catheter relative to an introducer sheath. In particular these apparatuses and method may secure an outer catheter of a mechanical thrombectomy apparatus to prevent the outer catheter from moving proximally when an inner member within the outer catheter is pulled proximally, applying a compression force that would otherwise drive the outer catheter proximally.
