External catheter stabilizer
An external catheter stabilizer device for stabilizing and retaining a catheter tube includes a base portion configured to adhesively attach at a patient, a retaining element configured to retain a catheter tube thereat, and a pivot element that pivotally attaches the retaining element to the base portion so as to allow for pivotal movement of the retaining element about a pivot axis generally normal to the patient where the base portion is attached. The retaining element includes a guide pin protruding therefrom and spaced from the pivot element. Pivotal movement of the retaining element relative to the base portion is limited to a selected range via engagement of the guide pin of the retaining element with an arcuate slot at the base portion.
SECONDARY DEVICE HOLDER AND COMPRESSION SYSTEM, METHOD OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
A device that holds a radial sheath, catheter or similar structure in place during surgical procedures. The device has a strap configured to fit around a patient's wrist and a two-part section that includes a sheath holder or clamp. The clamp is configured to accept a free end of the sheath or other device and to allow the physician access to the open end of that sheath so that they can insert instruments through it. The second section contains a compression device that, when positioned over the puncture site, can be expanded such that it provides pressure and patent hemostasis to the site to stop bleeding. Adhesive surfaces with peel away releasable liners on one or more surfaces of the device allow the flap featuring the compression balloon to be folded over onto the flap containing the sheath clamp and hold it in place.
SYSTEM FOR ANCHORING MEDICAL DEVICES
Some embodiments of a medical device anchor system include an anchor device that receives a catheter (or other medical instrument) and secures the catheter in place relative to a skin penetration point. In some embodiments, the anchor device can secure the catheter in an operative position relative to the skin penetration point without use of sutures or skin tapes.
Devices for monitoring movement of a secured catheter during a procedure
A device for securing and monitoring movement of a catheter includes a film having an adhesive disposed on a body-facing surface for securing the film to a body. The device also includes a base mounted on the film, the base comprising a first portion of a guide channel for receiving the catheter. A cover is coupled to the base via a hinge, the cover comprising a second portion of the guide channel, the cover further comprising a rounded portion extending from a distal end of the cover, wherein in the closed configuration, the catheter is completely enclosed by the rounded portion and the first and second portions of the guide channel. The device also includes a positional shift indicator fixedly attached to the catheter and configured to indicate positional shifts by the catheter within the guide channel.
Organizing, anchoring, safety device for peripheral intravenous catheters
An organizing, safety and securement device for use with a peripheral intravenous catheter includes: (a) a catheter base with an opening, that is covered by a transparent membrane, and an upper securement element with a luer fitting indentation, (b) a lower securement element having a top surface with a luer fitting indentation (c) an organizer base with upper and lower clamping members that are hinged together and have free surfaces with tubing indentations that include color coded, mainline and apinch tubing portions, and (d) a tether which connects the catheter and organizer bases.
PROTECTIVE COVER
A medical assembly includes a sheath having a channel that extends therethrough; a medical device that extends into the channel of the sheath via a proximal end of the sheath; and a cover at least partially enclosing a space and having a first opening that provides access to the space, wherein the sheath extends through the first opening such that the medical device emerges from the proximal end of the sheath within the space.
SEALING AND SECURING DRESSING SYSTEM FOR VASCULAR ACCESS DEVICES
Devices, systems, and methods used to seal and secure a medical device at an insertion site are disclosed. The systems include a mating dressing device, a central connector, and a compression lock collar. The mating dressing device includes an adhesive plate portion that forms a first circumferential seal around the insertion site and a mating body portion that the central connector form fits to. The compression lock collar compresses the mating body portion against the central connector to form a second circumferential seal. The systems can also include a segment of intravenous tubing coupled to the central connector and used for application of the mating dressing device and compression lock collar.
A MEDICAL DEVICE SECUREMENT SYSTEM
A medical device securement system includes a main body having a first section and a second section displaceable relative to one another to translate the system between an undeployed state and a deployed state, a first array of microneedles projecting from a tissue contacting surface of the first section and a second array of microneedles projecting from a tissue contacting surface of the second section, a retention device provided on the main body for receiving and engaging the medical device, wherein the first section comprises a first base defining the tissue contacting surface and a closure member hingedly articulated relative to the first base between a closed position defining an enclosure between the first base and the closure member in which the retention device is located and in which the medical device may be at least partially contained, and an open position permitting access to the enclosure.
Wrap systems for medical device kits
Medical device kits for use in placing, maintaining, altering, and/or removing medical devices in, on, and/or from the body of a patient are disclosed. Such medical device kits can include one or more wrap assemblies for use in the placement/maintenance procedure. In accordance with present embodiments, the one or more wrap assemblies of the medical device kit can include various features to assist the clinician performing the particular procedure. In one embodiment, a medical wrap assembly is disclosed, comprising a foldable wrap body that includes a front surface, wherein the front surface is configured to define a sterile field. A plurality of pockets is included on the front surface of the wrap body. The pockets are configured to contain therein a plurality of medical components. The medical components are arranged in the pockets in a predetermined order of use for the medical procedure.
Wound-healing systems and methods thereof
Disclosed herein are wound-healing systems and methods thereof. A wound-healing system can include a wound dressing, a catheter-stabilization device, and an electrical-stimulation means for applying electrical stimulation to heal or protect at least a wound associated with a percutaneous insertion site of a patient. The wound dressing can be configured as an electrode for placement around the wound. The catheter-stabilization device can include an anchor pad and a retainer coupled to the anchor pad. The anchor pad can be configured to adhere to skin of the patient proximate the insertion site. The retainer can be configured to stabilize a catheter assembly while a catheter tube of the catheter assembly is disposed in the insertion site.
