11464945 · 2022-10-11 ·

The catheter canal is a medical device. The catheter canal is configured for use with a guiding catheter or guide sheath. The catheter canal forms a canal that controls and eliminates potentially undesirable movement of a catheter, wire, stent, balloon or any other over the wire instrument as it is inserted into a patient. The catheter canal includes a guiding structure, a plurality of flexible structures, and an adhesive structure. The plurality of flexible structures and the adhesive structure attaches to the guiding structure. The plurality of flexible structures form a framework that creates the canal that controls and limits potentially undesirable movement of the catheter, wire, stent, balloon or any other over the wire instrument.

DEVICE FOR SECURING A PERIPHERAL VENOUS CATHETER

An embodiment provides an adjustable intravenous (IV) securement band with non-occlusive retention in case of excessive force (i.e., automatically loosens) and traction for securing an IV to a patient’s arm. Embodiments may further include features such as guides and or channels on the band to hold tubing. Embodiments may be secured to patients to be used as a non-adhesive securement aid for tubing/catheter (e.g., IV’s, enteral tubes, Foley catheters, endotracheal tubes, nasogastric (NG) tubes, chest tubes, and the like) retention on patients. An embodiment includes a series of separable flaps, any of which may be separated from the band to adjust the length of the band

Dressing

In one embodiment, the dressing has a base which is to be adhered to a patient about a catheter site, an aperture in the base to pull a catheter line through and a cover with a window that is folded over and onto the base in a sealed manner. In another embodiment, the dressing has two covers with windows for folding over separate sections of a base to seal in the components of a catheter assembly with multiple catheters extending from a common housing.

Wrap Systems For Medical Device Kits

Medical device kits for use in placing, maintaining, altering, and/or removing medical devices in, on, and/or from the body of a patient are disclosed. Such medical device kits can include one or more wrap assemblies for use in the placement/maintenance procedure. In accordance with present embodiments, the one or more wrap assemblies of the medical device kit can include various features to assist the clinician performing the particular procedure. In one embodiment, a medical wrap assembly is disclosed, comprising a foldable wrap body that includes a front surface, wherein the front surface is configured to define a sterile field. A plurality of pockets is included on the front surface of the wrap body. The pockets are configured to contain therein a plurality of medical components. The medical components are arranged in the pockets in a predetermined order of use for the medical procedure.

Medical connectors having integrated adhesive backing

A holder for securing a venous access device to a patient may include a flexible substrate having an upper surface, a lower surface, and an outer perimetal surface. An adhesive layer may overlay the lower surface of the flexible substrate. The adhesive layer may have an adhesive for adhering to skin of the patient. The holder may further include a hydrophilic matrix integrated into at least a portion of the adhesive layer, at least one solvent reservoir disposed on the upper surface of the flexible substrate, and a connector secured to the outer perimetal surface. The connector may have a first end for connection to a needle assembly and a second end for connection to an IV fluid line.

MEDICAL DEVICE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A medical device or catheter management system comprises several layers where a top layer has one or more channels to receive one or more elongated medical devices or members and a bottom layer comprises adhesive to secure the catheter management system to a patient or other secure site in the operating field. A firm upper surface causes the elongated medical devices or members to stay in the channels, whereas a firm inner layer facilitates maintaining the shape of the catheter management system and providing resistance for an operator to easily release an elongated medical device or member.

A chest tube fastener. The chest tube fastener includes a bracket having a base. The base includes an upper surface and a lower surface with a plurality of openings formed therethrough. A handle is secured to a surface and protrudes from the upper surface of the base. The handle includes a first end opposite a second end. The first end and the second end are attached to the surface and a gap is formed in between the surface and the handle. The base is attached to an animal, such as a human and a tube is attached to the handle.

Integrated vascular delivery system

An integrated vascular delivery system and method of use, the system including: a frame having a catheter hub that provides a first anchoring point on the patient and receives a catheter insertable in the patient to transfer fluid at an insertion site, a stabilization hub that provides a second anchoring point on the patient, at least one lateral member extending between the catheter and stabilization hubs, and a fluidic channel. The frame operates in a folded configuration in which the hubs are coupleable and an unfolded configuration in which the anchoring points are distributed around the insertion site to anchor the frame to the patient, thereby stabilizing the catheter. In some embodiments, the system further includes a septum that helps prevent fluid leakage from the catheter hub, or a needle shield that covers the distal end of a needle used during catheter insertion.
