SYSTEM FOR ANCHORING MEDICAL DEVICES

Some embodiments of a medical device anchor system include an anchor device that receives a catheter (or other medical instrument) and secures the catheter in place relative to a skin penetration point. In some embodiments, the anchor device can secure the catheter in an operative position relative to the skin penetration point without use of sutures or skin tapes.

ANATOMIC NEEDLE SYSTEM

A needle system for providing fluidic and/or instrument access to an internal body structure. Exemplary embodiments may include non-linear needles having anatomically appropriate lengths and curvatures. Some exemplary embodiments may include a pivotable base, which may assist in stabilizing the needle system with respect to a body structure and/or may be reconfigurable into a safety guard position. Exemplary needle systems may include expandable conduits providing fluidic and/or instrument pathways into internal body structures.

INSTRUMENT WITH HOLDING DEVICE

An endoscopic instrument having an instrument body configured in a long, slim and flexible manner. The instrument may be completely or partly wound in one or more windings that allows the instrument to be packed in a space-saving and easy-to-handle manner. To keep the instrument body in this position, a holding device is provided that is arranged on the instrument body and is preferably undetachably held there. The holding device has a gripper rotatably supported around the instrument body. The instrument body has a latch to hold and fasten the windings.

DRUG INFUSION SET

A fixing device of a nasogastric tube contains: an adhesion member, a connection member, and a retainer. The adhesion member includes an adhesive face, a circular column, and an engagement portion. The connection member includes a connecting sheet, a locating post, and a spherical portion. The connecting sheet has a rectangular slot and an annular orifice, such that the annular orifice accommodates the engagement portion of the adhesion member, the rectangular slot slidably receives the circular column of the adhesion member, an end of the connecting sheet proximate to the annular orifice is connected with the locating post, and the other end of the locating post is connected with the spherical portion. The retainer includes a coupling bar and a joining knob. The retainer further includes a clamp section and two press portions. Furthermore, the clamp section has a hollowly circular space defined therein.

NEUROPILOT MANUAL NEURAL NAVIGATION DEVICE

A device suitable for guiding a trajectory of a surgical shunt or needle comprising two protractors on a curved frame configured to fit over, or attach to, the skull of a patient, wherein the two protractors are respectively oriented in a circular dimension and anterior-posterior/medio-lateral directions. A method for using the device to guide a surgical needle, probe, shunt or other instrument during surgery.

Secondary device holder and compression system, method of making and using the same
11272941 · 2022-03-15 ·

A device that holds a radial sheath, catheter or similar structure in place during surgical procedures. The device has a strap configured to fit around a patient's wrist and a two-part section that includes a sheath holder or clamp. The clamp is configured to accept a free end of the sheath or other device and to allow the physician access to the open end of that sheath so that they can insert instruments through it. The second section contains a compression device that, when positioned over the puncture site, can be expanded such that it provides pressure and patent hemostasis to the site to stop bleeding. Adhesive surfaces with peel away releasable liners on one or more surfaces of the device allow the flap featuring the compression balloon to be folded over onto the flap containing the sheath clamp and hold it in place.

Patient access site securement system

A patient access site securement system includes a housing with an inlet, an outlet and an internal fluid path between the inlet and the outlet. The housing also has a connecting portion that connects to a catheter and/or a fluid line attached to the catheter. A contact surface is located on an underside of the housing and positions the patient access site securement system on the patient. A first reservoir with an interior holds a liquid and transitions from a first state to a second state. The interior is in fluid communication with the inlet when the reservoir is in the second state to allow the liquid to flow from the inlet, through the internal fluid path and exit the outlet. The liquid interacts with the contact surface and/or the patient to alter a level of securement between the catheter and the patient.

Stabilization Devices for Vascular Access and Methods of Using the Same
20220072278 · 2022-03-10 ·

A stabilization device configured to stabilize an access device when a distal end portion of the access device is inserted through a target location of a patient. The stabilization device includes a coupling surface, a proximal surface, and a base surface. The coupling surface is configured to be placed in contact with an adapter coupled to a proximal end portion of the access device. The proximal surface forms at least one angle and is configured to facilitate securement of the stabilization device to the target location. The base surface forms a contoured portion configured to be placed in contact with the target location and a recessed portion configured to be spaced apart from the target location. The stabilization device is configured to be secured to the target location such that the adapter is retained in a fixed position relative to the coupling surface and the access device is stabilized.

Support catheter

A support catheter is used together with a guiding catheter in which a treatment catheter is inserted, the guiding catheter guiding the treatment catheter in a blood vessel, the support catheter being inserted in the guiding catheter from a proximal-side opening of the guiding catheter and having such a length that the support catheter protrudes from a distal-side opening of the guiding catheter, the support catheter guiding a distal end portion of the treatment catheter to a treatment site. The support catheter includes: a distal shaft forming a distal-side portion of the support catheter, the distal shaft having a tubular shape such that the treatment catheter is insertable in the distal shaft; and a proximal shaft forming a proximal-side portion of the support catheter. The proximal shaft is joined to a proximal-side portion of the distal shaft by a modified polyolefin-based adhesive.
