RESONATING STRUCTURE FOR A DIELECTRIC FILTER COMPRISING A DIELECTRIC BODY INCLUDING OFFSET FIRST AND SECOND BLIND COUPLING HOLES WITH RESPECTIVE DEFECTED PORTIONS
A resonating structure and a dielectric filter having the same are disclosed. The resonating structure comprises a body, at least one set of negative coupling holes, and a conductive material layer. The body is made of a solid dielectric material and comprises at least two resonators. The negative coupling holes are formed at a connection between two adjacent resonators. Each set of negative coupling holes comprises a first blind hole and a second blind hole disposed on two opposite surfaces of the body respectively. The first blind hole and the second blind hole are offset from each other in a plane perpendicular to a direction along which the first or second blind hole is dug. The conductive material layer covers surfaces of the body and surfaces of the first blind hole and the second blind hole.
NONUNIFORM CORRUGATED DIAPHRAGM FOR MEMS TUNERS AND ACTUATORS
A cavity resonator tuning diaphragm comprising a plurality of inner corrugations, the plurality of inner corrugations having a first depth. An outer corrugation located between the plurality of inner corrugations and a perimeter of the diaphragm is also included, the outer corrugation having a second depth greater than the first depth. The addition of the outer deep corrugation provides increased thermal stability and reduced required actuation voltage.
MICROWAVE CAVITY RESONATOR STABILIZED OSCILLATOR
Methods, systems, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for a microwave cavity resonator stabilized oscillator, are described. The oscillator can include a cavity resonator configured to resonate at least at one predetermined resonant frequency in a GHz frequency range. The oscillator can include circuitry including a microwave amplifier, a low pass filter and a phase shifter. The circuitry may be arranged in a feedback loop configuration, and may be at least partially mounted above a first surface of the cavity resonator. The circuitry may be electrically coupled to the cavity resonator to form an oscillator. The circuitry can include a first delay line segment that is selected instead of at least one other delay line segments for wire-bond connection to complete the feedback loop configuration at zero degree phase.
FILTER STRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT
A filter structure improvement includes a substrate, resonance layers, a grounded layer, a pattern layer, an input electrode, and an output electrode. The substrate has resonance holes in which the resonance layers are disposed. One end of the resonance hole is on the open surface and the other end of the resonance hole is on the short-circuit surface. The grounded layer is on the short-circuit surface, top surface, bottom surface, and side surfaces and is electrically connected to the resonance layers to form a short-circuit end. The input and output electrodes, electrically isolated from the grounded layer, are on the bottom or open surface of the substrate. The pattern layer, resonance layers, and grounded layer are arranged to have electrical properties of a filter structure of mutual coupling such that a desired frequency band is obtained by adjusting the pattern layer and the lengths of the resonance layers.
Surface Integrated Waveguides and Circuit Structures Therefor
Apparatus, and corresponding method, relates generally to a microelectronic device. In such an apparatus, a first conductive layer is for providing a lower interior surface of a circuit structure. A plurality of wire bond wires are interconnected to the lower interior surface and spaced apart from one another for providing at least one side of the circuit structure. A second conductive layer is for providing an upper interior surface of the circuit structure spaced apart from the lower interior surface by and interconnected to the plurality of wire bond wires. The plurality of wire bond wires, the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer in combination define at least one opening in the at least one side for a signal port of the circuit structure. Such circuit structure may be a signal guide circuit structure, such as for a signal waveguide or signal cavity for example.
Tunable evanescent-mode cavity filter with closed loop control
An evanescent-mode cavity filter with an improved MEMS tuner design is disclosed. The MEMS tuner design allows for the independent control of individual poles in a multi-pole filter, which increases the adaptability of the filter in a crowded RF environment. The filter is further designed to minimize tuning voltages and hysteresis effects. A closed loop control system provides highly responsive tuning of the filter. The closed loop control allows for accurate and stable tuning that compensates for temperature and vibrational effects, while the tuner design enables fast tuning and significantly increases the resolution of the feedback measurement by eliminating charge buildup in the tuner substrate.
Hybrid cavity and lumped filter architecture
A resonator includes an inductive element and a conductive cavity surrounding the inductive element. In particular, the conductive cavity surrounds the inductive element such that a capacitance is distributed between the inductive element and the conductive cavity. By distributing a capacitance between the inductive element and the conductive cavity, a high quality-factor resonator can be achieved by the resonator with a relatively small form factor.
