Grounding cross connectors including clamping pads for coupling at least two conductors
11251547 · 2022-02-15 · ·

Various implementations of grounding cross connectors are disclosed. The grounding cross connectors may be used to clamp together two or more, often perpendicular, conductors. In some implementations, a grounding cross connector includes an upper clamping pad and a lower clamping pad held together by a pair of threaded fasteners. A pair of perpendicular conductors may be placed in between the clamping pads and secured together by torqueing nuts on the threaded fasteners. The upper clamping pad may include a hook through which one of the threaded fasteners may pass, thereby allowing the upper clamping to rotate relative to the lower clamping pad.

An object is to provide an electrical connector for a flat conductor that does not leave behind plastic deformation on a pressing arm part of a terminal pressing a flat conductor. A metal plate terminal, housing, and movable member are provided, where the terminal has a pressing arm part extending such that an insertion-and-removal direction of a flat conductor is in a longitudinal direction, and a supporting arm part extending in the longitudinal direction, which is connected with the pressing arm part by a connecting part. The pressing arm part has a pressing part for pressing one surface of the flat conductor on a rear end side which is an insertion side of the flat conductor, and a pressure receiving part receiving a force from a cam part on a position more forward than the pressing part.

Lead-through terminal

A lead-through terminal includes a terminal housing to be held on a wall of an electrical installation, and a wall feedthrough and a pivotable actuation device being provided on the terminal housing. The actuation device is pivotable at least between a contact position and an open position to clamp a conductor at a conductor receptacle in the contact position and to release or hold the conductor at the conductor receptacle in the open position. A gap that exists between the actuation device and the wall feedthrough when the actuation device pivots between the open position and the contact position is closed at least in the contact position.

TERMINAL AND TERMINAL WIRE ASSEMBLY

A terminal coupled to an electric wire includes a terminal body and a shell. The shell includes a tubular portion and pressing portions 25A and 25B that protrudes from an inner wall of the tubular portion. The tubular portion includes a bottom wall, a first sidewall that projects upward from a first side edge of the bottom wall, a second sidewall that projects upward from a second side edge of the bottom wall, a ceiling that extends from the first sidewall to the second sidewall and is opposite the bottom wall, and a restricting portion that extends from the second sidewall to the first sidewall and overlaps an outer surface of the ceiling.

TERMINAL

A terminal includes a terminal body and a slider. The terminal body is formed by processing a metal sheet. The terminal body is coupled to a front end of an electric wire with respect to an extending direction in which the electric wire extends. The terminal body holds the electric wire. The slider is slidable in the extending direction relative to the terminal body. The terminal body includes connecting tabs that includes contact surfaces contactable with the electric wire. Each of the connecting tabs has a cantilever shape. The slider includes pressing portions that press the connecting tabs so that the connecting tabs deform and the contact surfaces contact the electric wire when the slider is slid. The connecting tabs include burrs that are produced during processing of the metal sheet. The burrs protrude from the contact surfaces toward the electric wire.

The terminal includes a terminal body including a holding section holding the electric wire and a slider slidable relative to the terminal body in the extending direction. The slider includes a pressing portion that presses the holding section toward the electric wire. The terminal body is formed from a folded metal sheet. The holding section includes a holding protrusion that protrudes toward the electric wire and contacts the electric wire. The holding protrusion is formed from a folded metal sheet.

CONNECTOR FOR A FLAT FLEXIBLE CABLE

A connector for a flat flexible cable includes a housing and a spring clip disposed in the housing. The housing has a main body and a cover. The cover is movable with respect to the main body between an open position and a closed position. The spring clip is resiliently deflectable by the cover. The spring clip is in a first state with the cover in the open position in which the spring clip abuts a conductor exposed through an insulation material of the flat flexible cable with a first contact force. The spring clip is in a second state with the cover in the closed position in which the spring clip abuts the conductor with a second contact force greater than the first contact force.
