A through via (406) passes through a thickness of the substrate between the first side and a second side, opposite the first side. A conductor (410) is electrically coupled to the through via on the second side to provide signals to and from the transducer array.
WIRE WITH TERMINAL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A method for manufacturing a terminal-attached electric wire including an electric wire including a core wire having plurality of strand wires, and a female terminal including wire barrels crimped around the core wire. The method includes a first step of applying ultrasonic vibrations to the core wire, and a second step of crimping the wire barrels in a region of the core wire to which ultrasonic vibrations have been applied. The first step includes applying ultrasonic vibrations to the core wire while leaving a compression margin for the crimping by the second step such that the resistance between the electric wire and the female terminal is stabilized until the strand wires of the terminal-attached electric wire are severed when the core wire of the terminal-attached electric wire is further compressed after the second step.

METHOD FOR SHORTENING THE PROCESS TIME DURING THE SOLDERING OF ELECTRIC OR ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS BY MEANS OF ELECTROMAGNETIC INDUCTION HEATING
A method for reducing a process time for soldering electrical or electronic components by electromagnetic induction heating, in particular soldering electrical contact elements with solder connection surfaces which are applied to a non-metallic substrate, in particular a glass pane, the method comprising the steps providing an electrical contact element configured as a solder base and made from an iron nickel or iron chromium alloy material; applying a lead free connection material to the soldering base, wherein the connection material or the solder is made from a lead free material, in particular Bi.sub.57Sn.sub.42Ag.sub.1, Bi.sub.57Sn.sub.40Ag.sub.3, SAg.sub.3.8Cu.sub.0.7 or Sn.sub.55Bi.sub.44Ag.sub.1; positioning the soldering base on the respective solder contact surface; inductive heating of the solder base by high frequency energy with increased heating of the solder base material and reduced heating of the material of the respective solder connection surface; and completing the soldering step after a time period of less than or equal to 10 seconds, advantageously 4 to 6 seconds. The invention also relates to a contact element configured as a particular soldering base.
Magnet wire bonding method and bonding structure
The present invention relates to a magnet wire bonding method and a bonding structure, and more particularly to a new improvement for ultrasonically bonding a longitudinal outer peripheral surface of a magnet wire having no entangling part to a flat surface of a flat part of a terminal pin. A magnet wire bonding method and structure, comprising: using a terminal pin (11) having a flat plate part (40) provided in a pin part (11a) as a terminal pin holding part (3); placing a magnet wire (13) in a longitudinally spread state on a flat surface (40a) of the flat plate part (40) without being entangled; and ultrasonically bonding an outer peripheral surface (13E) of the magnet wire (13) onto the flat surface (40a) with an ultrasonic horn (50).
METHOD OF CONNECTING A WIRE TO A FEEDTHROUGH
One aspect relates to a feedthrough system. The feedthrough system includes a feedthrough and a wire. At least a portion of the feedthrough is made of an insulator and at least one area forming an electrically conductive cermet pathway. The cermet pathway may include an electrically conductive metal. The wire may be at least partially connected to the cermet pathway so that the material of the wire forms a joint microstructure with the electrically conductive material in the cermet pathway.
