At least one end shield includes a plate extending transversely and a skirt extending axially from the plate, the plate having an inner face oriented towards a lead-out wire of the winding. The inner face includes a main recess which increases the minimum axial distance separating the lead-out wire from the inner face, the main recess having a bottom extending radially.
