MECHANICAL CIRCULATORY SUPPORT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Mechanical circulatory support systems and methods are disclosed herein. In some examples, the present technology comprises a system for providing cardiac support to a patient where the system comprises a first elongated shaft configured to receive a delivery catheter therethrough, a second elongated shaft, and a pressure source coupled to the first and second elongated shafts. The first elongated shaft may have a distal end portion configured to be intravascularly positioned at a first cardiovascular location, and the second elongated shaft may have a distal end portion configured to be intravascularly positioned at a second cardiovascular location downstream of the first location. Pressure generated by the pressure source pulls blood from the first location proximally through the first shaft to the pressure source, then pushes the blood distally through the second shaft and into circulatory flow at the second cardiovascular location, thereby providing mechanical circulatory support to the patient.
CASSETTE SYSTEM INTEGRATED APPARATUS
A cassette integrated system. The cassette integrated system includes a mixing cassette, a balancing cassette, a middle cassette fluidly connected to the mixing cassette and the balancing cassette and at least one pod. The mixing cassette is fluidly connected to the middle cassette by at least one fluid line and the middle cassette is fluidly connected to the balancing cassette by at least one fluid line. The at least one pod is connected to at least two of the cassettes wherein the pod is located in an area between the cassettes.

Blood treatment device comprising a metering line having a membrane pump and a valve and method for metering
The invention relates to a blood treatment device having at least one metering line which opens into a fluid circuit, wherein a conveyor module is arranged in the metering line and comprises a membrane pump and a valve which is arranged at the pressure side thereof and which can act both as a blocking valve and as a restricting valve.
Cardiac pump
A cardiac pump is arranged to mimic triphasic operation. The pump uses a fluid line formed from flexible tubing, along with a reciprocating actuator arranged to move between a free orientation and an occluding orientation. This allows a portion of the fluid line to be selectively occluded during movement of the actuator, enabling blood or other fluids to be peristaltically forced fluid towards a fluid outlet. The direction of operation of the actuator, and the selection of appropriate occluding or free orientations, allows the pump to be operated in a triphasic manner.
