MEDICAL DRAINAGE STENT

A medical drainage stent that includes a stent body, and a proximal portion and a distal portion that are located at two ends of the stent body for connecting a first tissue wall and a second tissue wall in a juxtaposing manner. The stent body is fixed between the first tissue wall and the second tissue wall to provide a drainage channel. The proximal portion of the stent has N extension portions, where a fixed end of the extension portion is fixedly connected with an edge of a proximal end of the stent body, and the other end of the extension portion is a free end in a free state. Structures of the N extension portions at least partially protrude from the stent body in a radial direction, so that the proximal portion of the stent is fixed on the first tissue wall, where N is a positive integer.

Thylakoid extract composition and formulation for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease

Use of a functional thylakoid extract, particularly in admixture with a physiologically acceptable carrier, in pharmaceutical application, in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, and method for the treatment thereof. The inflammatory bowel disease may comprise several diseases associated with inflammation of the small intestine, large intestine (colon), rectum or anus (anal sphincter), and may be particularly selected from ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

TREATMENT METHOD AND TREATMENT SYSTEM

A treatment method includes: inserting a first closure and a second closure into a tubular organ, wherein the tubular organ includes at least one affected site; contacting an inner wall of the tubular organ with the first closure and the second closure to close the tubular organ with the at least one affected site located between the first closure and the second closure; with the tubular organ closed by the first closure and the second closure, aspirating a gas located in the tubular organ between the first closure and the second closure; and with the tubular organ closed by the first closure and the second closure, delivering a liquid medicine into the tubular organ between the first closure and the second closure.

A drug delivery system is provided that has an adjustable dose mechanism allowing setting and locking the dose then administration of the set dose. A method for administering a medicament using the drug delivery system is also provided.

NON-INVASIVE SAMPLING OF INNER-COLONIC MICROBIOME

Sampling systems and methods for non-invasive sampling of inner-colonic microbiome and its potential derivatives are provided. The sampling systems may operate in fluid communication with a large intestine cleansing system and comprise an electromechanical sampling device configured to collect at least a part of large intestine contents drained by the cleansing system. The electromechanical sampling device may comprise a collection unit configured to collect at least one sample from the contents, and an electromechanical robotic unit configured to move the collection unit to and from a sampling position and to manipulate the collection unit into a respective casing, to deposit the sample(s). Sampling methods may comprise optically monitoring drained contents of the large intestine, characterizing the optically-monitored (and possibly spectrally analyzed) drained contents to determine sampling times, and sampling the drained contents according to the characterization.
