Request facilitation for approaching consensus for a service transaction
One or more systems, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products to facilitate a process for consensus regarding proceeding with a request of a transaction are provided. A system can comprise a memory that stores computer executable components and a processor that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components can comprise a services component that operates a service of a transaction, where the services component approaches consensus regarding a request of the transaction by communicating with one or more other services components that operate one or more other services immediately upstream or downstream in the transaction to the service. The services component can approach the consensus by communicating only with the one or more other services components. To approach the consensus, the services component can communicate one or more messages that include one or more requests, votes or final decisions.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR NETWORK FUNCTION DISCOVERY IN A SEGMENTED NETWORK
A system described herein may provide a technique for an inter-segment Network Function (“NF”) discovery procedure in a network that includes multiple discrete network segments. The network segments may each include a respective set of NFs. An NF discovery request may include discovery parameters such as an identifier of a User Equipment (“UE”). Network segments may be checked in a sequential or hierarchical manner to determine whether a respective network segment includes an instance of the requested NF that matches the discovery parameters (e.g., is associated with the UE identified in the NF discovery request).
Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media for discovery of application server and/or services for V2X communications
Embodiments include a method performed by a V2X user equipment (UE) for service discovery from a V2X application server (AS). The method includes sending, to a first address associated with the V2X AS, a first request for further address information associated with the V2X AS. The method also includes receiving, from the V2X AS via unicast signaling, a first response that includes the further address information associated with the V2X AS. The first request includes an identifier of the V2X UE but the first response does not include the identifier of the V2X UE. Other embodiments include complementary methods performed by a V2X AS, as well as V2X UE and V2X AS apparatus configured to perform such methods.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DYNAMIC NETWORK FUNCTION RESOURCE ALLOCATION THROUGH THE NETWORK REPOSITORY FUNCTION
A device may include a processor configured to register a network function, of a core network associated with a radio access network, in a network function repository for the core network. The processor may be further configured to obtain load information for the network function, wherein the load information indicates a load associated with the network function during a time period; determine that the load associated with the network function has reached a threshold based on the load information; and send an alert to an orchestration system to adjust a capacity for the network function, in response to determining that the load associated with the network function has reached the threshold.
Method for configuring service node, service node pool registrars, and system
A method for configuring a service node, a service node pool registrar, and a system are provided. The method includes receiving a service node query request sent by a management configuration device. The service node query request includes a service requirement. The service requirement is from a user or caused by a network change. The method further includes searching a service node database, to obtain service node information that matches the service node query request. The method further includes sending the matching service node information to the management configuration device, causing the management configuration device to perform network and service configuration on the matching service node according to network topology information that has been obtained and the matching service node information.
Network service discovery
Examples described herein provide network service discovery in a network. Examples herein include receiving, from a network device in the network, a set of records corresponding to a set of service advertisements indicative of capabilities of services hosted by respective host devices connected to the network device. Examples herein include determining, a set of neighbor network devices corresponding to the network device, based on radio frequency (RF) data in the network and a predefined set of policies associated with each of the set of records. Examples herein further include sending the set of records to the set of the neighbor network devices, where each of the set of neighbor network devices is to serve service discovery requests based on the set of records.
Method and system for diagnosing and remediating service failures
Techniques described herein relate to a method for diagnosing and remediating service failures. The method includes identifying, by a diagnostic and remediation manager, a diagnostic event associated with a service of services; generating a dependency directed acyclic graph (DAG) associated with the service; generating health vectors associated with each node of the dependency DAG; updating the dependency DAG using the health vectors to generate an unhealthy subgraph; and remediating the service based on the unhealthy subgraph.
Determining a service level in a communication network
A method of determining an end-to-end, E2E, service level for a communications network (100) by a network management entity (101). The communications network (100) comprises one or more network domain. The method comprises obtaining (201) a first set of service level data for the one or more network domain. The first set of service level data for said one or more network domain comprises a summarized set of data derived from service level data monitored by said one or more network domain. The method further comprises determining (202) the end-to-end service level based on the obtained first set of service level data from the one or more network domain.
Method for Configuring Service Node, Service Node Pool Registrars, and System
A method for configuring a service node, a service node pool registrar, and a system are provided. In certain embodiments, the method includes receiving a service node query request sent by a management configuration device.
METHOD FOR INSTANTIATING A NETWORK SERVICE AND CORRESPONDING APPARATUS
Instantiating a Network Service described by a Forwarding Graph comprising Virtual Network Functions, VNF instances, which are interconnected via communication links. This includes splitting the Forwarding Graph into n VNF Elementary Graphs, VNF EGs. Each of the VNF EGs for a VNF Instance includes routing information for forwarding, by that VNF instance and to another VNF instance, packets output by that VNF instance based on a packet class identifier included in the packet. Each of the VNF EGs is transmitted to the corresponding VNF instance for that VNF EG. Each of the VNF instances, when outputting a packet handled by it, then transmits the packet to a next VNF instance based on the packet class identifier included in the packet.
