Workout systems and methods using robust door mounting
12201866 · 2025-01-21 · ·

Methods and systems are presented in which one or more heavy-duty straps are positioned in contact with a top and bottom of a door and engaged with a heavy mechanism exerting a static tension greater than 10 newtons. A user can exercise using removable extenders attached to any of several loops at various vertical positions, creating enormous leverage along the strap(s). Supplemental cushioning may be utilized to minimize damage from large kinetic energy imbued upon components of the methods and systems during or after exercise.

Portable exercise device
09844696 · 2017-12-19 · ·

A portable exercise device allowing a user to perform Pilates type exercises without using traditional, cumbersome equipment. The device uses a pair of wheel assemblies respectively attached to opposing ends of a central shaft. A shaft height can be adjusted from a center of each wheel to a lower point closer to a ground surface. Adjustable cam lockable hand/foot plates are attached to the shaft allowing the user to attach his or her feet to the shaft. Each hand/foot plate includes a rotational plate that allows the hand/foot plate to be positioned at various angles in relation to the shaft. Resistance bands are attached on one side to the shaft and on the opposite side to a resistance source. The resistance source can be the user's own hands or feet, or a retaining strap attached to a lower portion of a door or wall.

Full body exercise apparatus

A portable exercise apparatus utilized for exercising, stretching, and training multiple muscle groups of the body of a user. The apparatus is adapted to be worn about the waist or carried as a bandolier about the user's body. The apparatus has at least one releasably closable pocket and fixation rings for securing and carrying accessories, such as attachable handles, suspension lines, and elastic bands. The apparatus and methods of use provide the user with a plurality of configurations for assisted exercise regimens and the flexibility to exercise anywhere.

Stretching Device

A stretching device that enables a user to employ the mechanical advantage of a multi-pulley system while performing various, prolonged muscle stretches; the stretching device including a first anchor assembly, a second anchor assembly, and a motion transfer line. The first motion transfer line has a first anchor body and a first motion transfer pulley; the first anchor body being attached to the user and the first motion transfer pulley being coupled to the first anchor body. Similarly, the second motion transfer line has a second anchor body and a second motion transfer pulley; the second anchor body being attached to a stationary object and the second motion transfer pulley being coupled to the second anchor body. The motion transfer line is terminally attached to the first anchor body and is trained around both the first motion transfer pulley and the second motion transfer pulley.

Physical fitness training system

A pulley training system including a pulley wheel and a pulley housing, configured to receive a cord over the pulley wheel, and including one or more support attachment points. A radial pulley lock for use with a training pulley system. A sliding knot enclosure for use with a training pulley system. A training pulley system adapted for use with one or more of a variety of types of pulley cords, and with rope adjuster mechanisms to operate with such types of pulley cords.

Multipurpose exercise training device
09757604 · 2017-09-12 ·

An exercise device having many advantageous features is described, including the ability to provide users with multiple modes of training by transforming the device into different configurations. Users can exercise their cardiovascular endurance by using the device in its jump rope configuration. Users can also engage in muscular resistance training using the same device configured to one of multiple possible resistance training configurations. Resistance training configurations provide a method of suspending users' bodyweight such that they can train their muscular strength capacity by exerting themselves against the force of gravity. Resistance can be selected from nearly zero resistance to a user's full body weight, with the ability to easily adjust between exercises and between users, and the ability to easily transform the device between configurations to provide for versatility and ease-of-use. The device includes an inelastic length member with two clip assemblies and two handles and/or grips at both ends.

Stretch-assisting platform
12233308 · 2025-02-25 ·

A stretch-assisting device, adapted for mounting in a vertical orientation on a door, wall or analogous vertical substrate, features an upper framework portion and a lower framework portion, coupled together. Each framework portion consists essentially of hollow rigid tubing arranged in a loop shape, with attached metal rings which project horizontally. Through each plurality of metal rings, an elastic cord is threaded, and joined to form a loop. Once the device is mounted on the substrate, a person can rest a body portion, such as a heel or elbow, on a selected segment of the elastic cord, and begin to stretch a muscle or tendon associated with the body portion. Since the cord is somewhat yielding, triggering of the myotatic reflex is avoided, or at least delayed, thereby facilitating completion of a stretch. A user can also secure an audiovisual playback device adjacent the device, in order to inform the user during stretching.

Door mount system for exercise devices

A door mount system for securing exercise devices to a door for use by a user. The door mount system includes a support member, a securing member, an attachment member, and an adjustment member. The adjustment member is adapted to move the securing member. A securing member is adapted to press on the door to removably connect the support member to the door. The attachment member is adapted to connect to an exercise device. The door mount system may further include guide members and slots. The guide members slidably move in the slots to prevent rotation of the securing member. The attachment member may include one or more eyelets adapted to connect to the exercise device.
