Exercise device
This application discloses a portable exercise device for flexibility and strengthening. In some embodiments, the device is comprised of one elastic band of surgical tubing or like material and one non-elastic band, with two pairs of looped handles tied to each end of the elastic band. These looped handles can attach to a user's limb without any need for grasping. The non-elastic end of the device can be affixed to an anchor point. The exercise device offers light but adjustable resistance via a resistance modulator, allowing the user to engage in a full range of standing and seated exercises with forces comparable to swimming. In addition, two instances of the device can be combined to engage both the user's hands and feet simultaneously.
Apparatus, kit, and method for performing strap-based exercises
The present disclosure relates to a modular strap-based exercise apparatus, kit, and method of use thereof, and more particularly to an apparatus, kit, and method for modularly connecting components of a strap-based exercise device. In an embodiment, the strap-based exercise apparatus includes one or more infinity loops configured to attach various portions of the exercise apparatus together. The exercise apparatus may be provided as a kit including an elongated member, a grip assembly, and one or more mechanisms for adjusting the length of a strap and connecting straps together.
Strength training with hand hold strap adjustment device
A mechanism for adjusting the length of two straps making up a strength trainer of the type having a hand or foothold connected to a first strap and a second anchored strap. The mechanism has a rectangular ring mounted to move through a cross member engaged with a housing by a spring extended between the ring and the housing. A first strap is looped around a first member of the ring, while the second strap passes thought the ring below an opposite member and wrapping the cross member to pass through the ring a second time after passing between the opposite member of the ring and the second member so as to engage two high friction surfaces on the cross member and one on the ring. Adjustment is by rotating the housing and ring to be perpendicular to the load to unload the second strap from the high friction surfaces.
Exercise stick
An exercise stick, including a main pole, and a tensioning assembly disposed at a substantially center portion of the main pole to move up the main pole in a first direction toward a first end of the main pole, and to move down the main pole in a second direction toward a second end of the main pole, the tensioning assembly including a large gear disposed on the tensioning assembly to change a resistance between the tensioning assembly and the main pole in response to a rotation of the large gear, and a plurality of tension clamps connected to opposing sides of the large gear to expand and contract in response to the rotation of the large gear. The tensioning assembly may further include a first worm gear to contact one of the plurality of tension clamps, and a second worm gear to contact another one of the plurality of tension clamps, such that the rotation of the large gear causes the first worm gear and the second worm gear to turn to expand or contract the plurality of tension clamps. The resistance between the tensioning assembly and the main pole may increase or decrease based on a tightening of the first worm gear and the second worm gear within the tensioning assembly, to cause the tensioning assembly to move more easily along the main pole based on a loosening of the first worm gear and the second worm gear or more difficultly along the main pole based on a tightening of the first worm gear and the second worm gear. The tensioning assembly may further include a first tension clamp having a first small gear connected to a first worm gear, the first tension clamp disposed within an inner portion of the tensioning assembly to grip a portion of the main pole, such that two upper surfaces of the first tension clamp opens or closes in response to a rotation of the first small gear, and a second tension clamp having a second small gear connected to a second worm gear, the second tension clamp disposed within the inner portion of the tensioning assembly to grip a portion of the main pole, such that two upper surfaces of the second tension clamp opens or closes in response to a rotation of the second small gear, such that the large gear is rotatably connected to the first small gear and the second small gear to control the rotation of the first small gear and the second small gear. The exercise stick may further include a handle assembly attached to the tensioning assembly to allow a user to move the tensioning assembly in the first direction and the second direction. The handle assembly may include a handle foot to attach to the tensioning assembly. The tensioning assembly may further include a handle lock disposed within a central portion of a rear surfa
Adjustable Double End Bag
A vertically adjustable double end bag system includes a double end bag connected to a tether. The tether may be a continuous cord o two connected cords, and may be flexible or substantially fixed length. The double end bag includes an adjuster mechanism for selectively positioning the bag. A support, such as may be connected to a door or other upright fixture or as may be free-standing via a base, connects to and suspends the tether.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR RESTORING SPINAL MOVEMENT AND FUNCTION
A spinal unloading system generally includes a harness configured to wrap around a human patient's lumbar or cervical region and including multiple attachment points for connecting elastomeric bands. Elastomeric bands exert pulling forces in a variety of directions, depending on specific placement, and serve to unload the spine and/or provide resistance while performing the method.
Bodyweight Resistance Trainer
The proposed invention is a suspension training system that helps perform a large variety of exercises by using users body weight. Bodyweight Resistance Trainer allows you to advance your workout by adjusting your body to use more, or less, gravity. Will help you burn fat, build core strength and tone your entire body. Both resistance straps can be anchored in the door anchor included by attaching both resistance straps carabiners into the door anchor loop.
Exercise equipment and method
Exercise equipment for at least pulling and pushing exercises comprises an elastic tubular band covered by a flexible material covering, for example, of nylon which is threaded through an O-ring grommet and holes in first and second straps threaded through first and second handles proximate to one another when gripped by a user. The exercise equipment may be used with a safety door attachment that comprises a safety loop for looping around a door handle or knob. The safety loop is stitched to a loop threaded through a plastic spindle of a foam door stop used on one side of a closed door. A further loop extends from the plastic spindle to the other closed side of the door and is adapted to receive the exercise equipment through the further loop. A series of isometric pulling and pushing exercises, trunk rotation among other exercises are disclosed and various accessories which may be used for warm up, relieving pain and for exercise including a D-ring embodiment for use with known exercise equipment.
RESISTANCE TRAINING SYSTEM
A resistance training system. The training system includes a tackle providing mechanical advantage, and a user performs strength training exercises by pulling or pushing on the running block while resisting motion of the running block by pulling or pushing on the free end of the runner.
Exercise stick
An exercise stick, including a main pole, a tensioning assembly disposed at a substantially center portion of the main pole to move up the main pole in a first direction toward a first end of the main pole, and to move down the main pole in a second direction toward a second end of the main pole, and a handle assembly attached to the tensioning assembly to allow a user to move the tensioning assembly in the first direction and the second direction.
