Support garment for resistance exercise
A support garment for use during resistance training. The support garment includes a segment of elastomeric material having two ends and upper and lower perimeters. The segment of material also has a chest support segment located between the two ends. Each end is positioned and attached to the upper perimeter of the segment of material to form a sleeves band. Each sleeve band has an opening on opposite sides of the support garment. Each sleeve band is also configured to accommodate an arm of a user of the garment and are biased inwardly by the chest support segment. The user positions one arm in each sleeve band and positions the chest support segment across a chest of the user during resistance training.
Muscle stimulation device
A vibration apparatus and an associated motor assembly attached to a glove or wrap for a body part to stimulate muscle activity in the area of application. The apparatus is capable of generating vibrations of various amplitudes at the same frequency or within a defined frequency range. The device causes vibration in a limb to which it is attached, such that muscle that are not normally utilized in a single range of motion activity are activated. The mechanism creating the vibration may an eccentric rotating mass vibration motor assembly attached to a glove or wrist support. Use of the device with fitness equipment provides an individual with the benefits associated with vibrational motion such as increased muscle use with a single exercise motion and increased muscle memory during use with sports activities.
WEARABLE PASSIVE ASSISTING DEVICE
A wearable assistive device is suggested comprising a force transmitting interconnection arrangement interconnecting in use a left limb of a user with a right limb of a user in a force transmitting manner; and a deflection arrangement guiding in use the force transmitting member along a path close to the body of a user, the path having a length dependent on the posture of the user; wherein the deflection arrangement comprises at least one elastic element engaging at one end thereof the force transmitting interconnection in between the left limb and the right limb in a manner deflecting the force transmitting interconnection from a straight line by an amount dependent on the excursion of the elastic element.
APPARATUS FOR THE PHYSICAL TRAINING OF AT LEAST ONE OF THE LIMBS OF A LIVING BEING
Apparatus (1) for the physical training of at least one of the limbs (40) of a living being, comprising a cuff (2) comprising an inflatable pouch (3), a device (4) for inflating the pouch (3), a system (5) for venting the pouch (3), a control unit (9) controlling the inflation device (4), said inflatable pouch (3) and the cuff (2) surrounding the pouch (3) being able to be positioned around a limb (40) that is to be trained so as to make it possible, when the pouch (3) is in the inflated state, to reduce the blood circulation through said limb (40). The training apparatus (1) comprises an air reserve (6) connected to the pouch (3) for transfer of air between the pouch (3) and the air reserve (6) at least when the pouch is deformed, and a pressure sensor (7) configured to measure the pressure of the air circuit, at least part of which is formed by the fluidic connection (8) between the inflatable pouch (3) and the air reserve (6).
Traction-Apparatus to Decompress Body's Joints
A traction apparatus develops a pull force through some or all the compressed joints of the ankles, the knees, the hips and the vertebrae of an individual, after the individual attaches to the ankles, or the waist, or the shoulders, a harness connected to suspended weights, and then positions self to rest supine over an inclinable, full length frictionless surface of full-width idler rollers, and inserts self's head's occipital portion into a crescent shaped hollow head restrainer which arrests the body's pull by the weights.
Adapters for use with dynamometer for subjects having limb impairment
Attachments for isokinetic dynamometers and methods of use thereof are provided for use with subjects having limb impairments. An example dynamometer attachment for use with a subject having an impaired limb includes a frame that has fixed thereto a padded limb support, where the padded limb support is configured to secure an impaired limb of the subject. The padded limb support includes a securing mechanism for securing the impaired limb relative to the frame, and the frame is connected to the dynamometer lever arm via an intermediate connector assembly. The connector assembly permits translation of the padded limb support in at least two dimensions relative to the lever arm prior to securing the frame fixedly in place. The translation adjustability of the attachment facilitates the alignment of the dynamometer attachment to the limb or partial limb of the subject without requiring movement of the subject.
BLOOD FLOW RESTRICTION SPORTSWEAR GARMENT
A sportswear garment comprising means for adjustably compressing at least one major vein in a user's limb such that blood flow through the at least one major vein is restricted.
All-in-one exercise machine for developing speed, agility, and strength
An all-in-one exercise machine that is designed to increase a user's speed, agility, and strength uses a treadmill, either motorized or manual, that can be inclined. A resistance hub attaches via a cable to a body harness worn by the user and acts as a resistive take up reel against the user's running. Smaller resistance hubs attach via cables to elbow and hand sleeves worn by the user and resist against the back and forth arm movements of the user while the user is running on the treadmill. These latter resistance hubs also act as weight resistance hubs for weight training on the device, the cables having appropriate weight lifting implements attached thereto.
Weight Lifting Support Shirt
A weight lifting support shirt is used to assist a lifter to perform workouts and comprises a chest support portion, a shoulder support portion, an abdominal support portion, and a first and second arm support portions each comprising a sleeve portion. The chest support portion is configured to extend across a chest portion of the lifter from a first end to a second end. The first and second arm support portions extend from the first and second ends of the chest support portion, respectively. The shoulder support portion abuts and extends across boundaries of the first and second arm support portions, and the chest support portion. The first and second arm support portions are configured to conform around a first and a second arm of the lifter. The abdominal support portion extends below from the chest support portion and is configured to conform and fasten around the lifer's abdomen.
Aerobic activity garment
