Communication coordination and collision mitigation for multi-subscriber identity module
This disclosure relates to systems, apparatuses, and methods for coordinating communication and avoiding and/or mitigating collisions for multi-subscriber identity module devices in a wireless communication system. A wireless device may coordinate communication associated with different subscriber identity modules and/or may mitigate collisions between communications associated with different subscriber identity modules. A network may provide information to improve coordination and/or mitigate collisions. A network may adjust paging schedules and/or provision of alert messages to improve coordination.
METHOD OF SETTING UP NETWORK LOCK FUNCTION OF ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE USING THE SAME
An electronic device according to an embodiment of the disclosure may include a communication module, a subscriber identification module, and at least one processor. The at least one processor may identify identification information of the subscriber identification module stored in the subscriber identification module when the subscriber identification module is identified as being first inserted, may configure a network service provider based on the identified identification information, may generate a signature by using lock information of the subscriber identification module, may identify network lock information when the signature is identified as being valid, and may set up a network lock function of the communication module based on the identified network lock information.
DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION (DRX) IN MULTI-SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE DEVICES
A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), the method including: determining to operate in a Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA) mode or a Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) mode, the UE having a first subscriber identity module (SIM) and a second SIM; and selecting a discontinuous reception (DRX) parameter value based at least in part on the DSDA mode or the DSDS mode.
Method and system for controlling UICC and EUICC
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a UICC in which a first profile is installed, an eUICC, and a processor electrically connected with the UICC and the eUICC. The processor requests a second profile to be installed in the eUICC from a first server based on the first profile, receives the second profile from a second server associated with the first server, and installs the received second profile in the eUICC. The second profile and the first profile include the same subscriber identification information.
Remote SIM Provisioning
Various aspects include methods for supporting remote Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) profile provisioning that may be performed by a Lightweight Machine-to-Machine (LwM2M) server and LwM2M client computing devices, such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices. A LwM2M server may generate a remote SIM provisioning object for the LwM2M client computing device indicating that the SIM profile update for the LwM2M client computing device is available, and send the remote SIM provisioning object to the LwM2M client computing device. A LwM2M client computing device may receive a remote Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) provisioning object from a LwM2M server indicating that a SIM profile update for the LwM2M client computing device is available, and download the SIM profile update in response to receiving the remote SIM provisioning object.
COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A communication apparatus, notifies, in a case where an application using communication is activated, a predetermined information processing apparatus of information concerning the application, obtains, based on information concerning contracts of a user of the communication apparatus with respect to a plurality of communication lines respectively provided by a plurality of communication carriers, from the information processing apparatus, information concerning a communication line recommended to be used to execute the application among the plurality of communication lines, and executes, based on the obtained information concerning the recommended communication line, control concerning setting of a use communication line.
CAPABILITY REPORTING METHOD FOR TERMINAL, TERMINAL CONFIGURATION METHOD, TERMINAL DEVICE, AND NETWORK DEVICE
A method for terminal configuration, a terminal device, and a network device are provided in the disclosure. The method for terminal configuration includes the following. The network device receives at least two sets of communication capabilities reported by a terminal device in an initial access procedure of the terminal device. The network device receives capability indication information transmitted by the terminal device, where the capability indication information indicates the network device to perform terminal configuration according to a first set of communication capabilities among the at least two sets of communication capabilities. The network device performs the terminal configuration according to the first set of communication capabilities.
Managing sub-flow communications in user equipment
A method performed by a User Equipment (UE) for managing sub-flow communications is provided, the method includes selecting a sub-flow among a plurality of sub-flows of the UE based on a set of parameters associated with each of the plurality of sub-flows, and transmitting a plurality of Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) acknowledgement messages in a single frame through the selected sub-flow, the plurality of TCP acknowledgement messages being associated with the plurality of sub-flows.
SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE BASED RADIO POLICY MANAGER
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device in which a processing system detects installation of a subscriber identity module (SIM) on a communication device configured for connection to the network; the SIM includes a radio policy manager (RPM) provided by the network operator to manage network policies. The system also monitors connection of the communication device to the network and communications between the SIM and a processor of the communication device. The RPM determines whether the communication device is compliant with the network policies; if the communication device is not compliant with the network policies, the RPM causes the connection of the communication device to the network to be disabled. Other embodiments are disclosed.
CONFIGURATION REQUEST IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS
The present disclosure relates to a configuration request in wireless communications. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a multi-universal subscriber identity module (MUSIM) user equipment (UE) may request candidate MUSIM gaps, and indicate priority information for the candidate MUSIM gaps along with the request. Therefore, the UE can prevent the inefficient gap configuration regarding the second network operation even when the first network is unable to configure all requested gaps.
