Method and apparatus for transmission prioritization in wireless communication system

The present disclosure relates to transmission prioritization in wireless communications. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method performed by a wireless device in a wireless communication system comprises: configuring a threshold; creating a media access control (MAC) protocol data unit (MAC PDU) for sidelink comprising a MAC control element (CE); setting a priority value to the MAC CE; identifying a transmission of the MAC PDU for sidelink and an uplink transmission to be performed; determining that the transmission of the MAC PDU for sidelink and the uplink transmission are not able to be performed simultaneously; determining that the priority value of the MAC CE is lower than the threshold; prioritizing the transmission of the MAC PDU for sidelink over the uplink transmission; and performing the transmission of the MAC PDU for sidelink that is prioritized over the UL transmission.

SIDELINK CANCELLATION INDICATION

Aspects relate to techniques for facilitating sidelink cancellation. A network entity, such as a base station, may schedule a sidelink transmission between a transmitting wireless communication device and a receiving wireless communication device and transmit scheduling information for the sidelink transmission to at least the transmitting wireless communication device. The network entity may further transmit control information including a cancellation indication to at least the transmitting UE. The cancellation indication may indicate at least an overlap between a portion of the resources allocated to the sidelink transmission and an additional transmission. Based on the cancellation indication, the transmitting wireless communication device may modify the sidelink transmission.

SIDELINK PRIORITIZATION

Aspects relate to techniques for enhancing sidelink scheduling information to include a priority assigned to a sidelink transmission. For example, a transmitting wireless communication device may receive sidelink scheduling information scheduling a sidelink transmission from a transmitting wireless communication device to a receiving wireless communication device. The sidelink scheduling information may further include a priority indicator associated with the sidelink transmission. The transmitting wireless communication device may then transmit the sidelink transmission to the receiving wireless communication device based on the scheduling information. The priority indicator may further facilitate hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebook construction on the sidelink and uplink for the transmission of acknowledgement information of the sidelink transmission.

SIDELINK CANCELLATION WITH RESUMPTION

Aspects relate techniques for facilitating resumption of a sidelink transmission after cancellation of the sidelink transmission within resources that overlap with an additional transmission. A transmitting wireless communication device may receive control information from a network entity including a cancellation indication indicating overlapping resources between the resources scheduled for the sidelink transmission and resources scheduled for the additional transmission. Based on the cancellation indication, the transmitting wireless communication device may cancel the sidelink transmission within cancelled resources including at least the overlapping resources and transmit the sidelink transmission via remaining resources of the scheduled resources for the sidelink transmission outside of the cancelled resources.

SIDELINK INTERFERENCE MONITORING FOR FULL-DUPLEX AND HALF-DUPLEX OPERATION
20230217290 · 2023-07-06 ·

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques at a user equipment (UE) provide for efficiently falling back to a half-duplex mode from a full-duplex mode when a level of interference is high. In particular, the UE may measure the level of interference at the UE (e.g., caused at least partially by self-interference between transmissions and receptions at the UE), and the UE may fall back to a half-duplex mode if the level of interference is above a threshold. In one example, the UE may transmit channel state information (CSI) reference signals (CSI-RSs) on resources allocated for interference measurements, and the UE may perform measurements on the CSI-RSs to identify a level of interference. In another example, the UE ay transmit a data packet on resources allocated for interference measurements, and the UE may decode the data packet to identify a level of interference.

Sidelink beam management
11553493 · 2023-01-10 · ·

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may be configured to support multi-beam, or multi-panel operations, or both which may allow multiple sidelink transmissions to occur simultaneously. In some cases, flexible beam-management for the beamformed sidelink communications is implemented to manage the beams. A transmitting UE may indicate transmission beam information to the base station that the base station may use to schedule sidelink transmissions as part of a beam management procedure. The beam management procedure may allow a transmitting UE to update transmission beam information based on the mobility of the sidelink UEs and other environmental factors. In some cases, beam management includes a beam training procedure that may be implemented to refine the sidelink beams, where support for multi-panel and multi-beam operation may allow for multiple beams to be trained simultaneously.
