METHOD FOR FORMING METAL PATTERN
The present invention relates to a method for forming a metal pattern on a pattern formation section set on a base material. In the present invention, a substrate provided with a fluorine-containing resin layer on a surface of the base material including the pattern formation section is used. The present inventive method for forming a metal pattern includes steps of: forming a functional group on the pattern formation section; and applying a metal ink including an amine compound and a fatty acid as protective agents to the base material surface to fix the metal particles on the pattern formation section. In the present invention, a fluorine-containing resin having a surface free energy measured by the Owens-Wendt method of 13 mN/m or more and 20 mN/m or less is applied as the fluorine-containing resin layer. Further, a metal ink including ethyl cellulose as an additive is applied as the metal ink.
PCB PRODUCTION BY LASER SYSTEMS
Systems and methods for printing a printed circuit board (PCB) from substrate to full integration utilize a laser-assisted deposition (LAD) system to print a flowable material on top of a substrate by laser jetting to create a PCB structure to be used as an electronic device. One such system for PCB printing includes a jet printing unit, an imaging unit, curing units, and a drilling unit to print metals and other materials (epoxies, solder masks, etc.) directly on a PCB substrate such as a glass-reinforced epoxy laminate material (e.g., FR4) or others. The jet printing unit can also be used for sintering and/or ablation of materials. Printed materials are cured by heating or by infrared (IR) or ultraviolet (UV) radiation. PCBs produced according to the present systems and methods may be single-sided or double-sided.
Method for working a first component and a second component by laser welding and corresponding device
A method for working a first component and a second component comprises the following steps: providing the first component, which comprises a thermally sprayed electrically conductive layer, providing the second component, which has a longitudinally extended strip of copper, which at least in a first region has a thickness transversely to the longitudinal direction of more than 0.1 millimeter, arranging the strip and the layer one on top of the other, so that the first region of the strip and the layer have a contact region in common with one another, emitting a laser beam onto the contact region and forming a welded connection, which connects the strip and the layer to one another.

LIFT printing of conductive traces onto a semiconductor substrate
A method for metallization includes providing a transparent donor substrate (34) having deposited thereon a donor film (36) including a metal with a thickness less than 2 μm. The donor substrate is positioned in proximity to an acceptor substrate (22) including a semiconductor material with the donor film facing toward the acceptor substrate and with a gap of at least 0.1 mm between the donor film and the acceptor substrate. A train of laser pulses, having a pulse duration less than 2 ns, is directed to impinge on the donor substrate so as to cause droplets (44) of the metal to be ejected from the donor layer and land on the acceptor substrate, thereby forming a circuit trace (25) in ohmic contact with the semiconductor material.
