The first magnet portion is spaced apart from the second magnet portion, and the second magnet portion comprises a bore. In a corresponding sensor device, a sensor element may be provided at a position between the first and second magnet portions.
APPARATUSES FOR PRODUCING OPTICAL EFFECT LAYERS
The apparatus and methods of the present disclosure relate to devices comprising spinning magnets driven by electric motors for use with printing or coating equipment. These devices and methods are for orienting magnetic or magnetisable pigment particles in an unhardened coating composition on a substrate. Specifically, these devices and methods are for producing optical effect layers. The apparatus comprises a holder, onto which is mounted a motor and a permanent magnet assembly. The motor is configured to spin the permanent magnet assembly. The holder is configured to be removably fixed to a base of a rotating magnetic cylinder (RMC) or a flatbed printing unit.
Devices and methods for detection of slippage of magnetic coupling in implantable medical devices
A device for the detection of slippage of magnetic coupling between an implanted medical device having a magnet and an externally applied magnetic field includes at least one external magnet configured to apply the externally applied magnetic field, an induction coil disposed external to the subject and between the at least one external magnet and the implanted medical device, and a detection circuit operatively coupled to the induction coil and configured to detect slippage between the rotational orientation of the magnet of the implanted device and the externally applied magnetic field based at least in part on the varying frequency components of the voltage waveform across the induction coil.
Method for producing metal foils
There is provided a method for producing metal foils, capable of easily crystalizing amorphous soft magnetic material of a plurality of metal foils into nano-crystal magnetic by uniformly heating the metal foils. Separating members (magnets) are disposed on the opposite sides of a laminate, which has been obtained by laminating a plurality of metal foils made of amorphous soft magnetic material, in the laminated direction of the laminate, and the metal foils forming the laminate are magnetized with the magnets. Thus, the adjacent metal foils are separated from each other in the laminated direction and a gap is formed between the metal foils. The metal foils are heated with the gap formed therebetween so that the amorphous soft magnetic material of each metal foil is crystalized into nano-crystal magnetic material.
Permanent magnet comprising an antiferromagnetic layer and a ferromagnetic layer
A permanent magnet comprising an antiferromagnetic layer and a ferromagnetic layer having a first sub-layer made of a first type of ferromagnetic material, the first type of ferromagnetic material being an at least partially crystallized alloy of iron and cobalt, and a second sub-layer made of a second type of ferromagnetic material, this second type of ferromagnetic material also being an alloy of iron and cobalt in which the proportion of face-centered cubic crystals is less than the proportion of face-centered cubic crystals in the first type of ferromagnetic material.
Therapeutic field directional magnetic array
An array of permanent magnets and magnetic materials create a large focused magnetic field capable of reducing the viscosity of blood in a human subject, and consequently reducing the blood pressure of the subject. The magnets can be arranged in highly tunable and customizable configurations suited to unique and individual applications.
METHOD AND SENSOR SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING A RELATIVE ANGULAR POSITION BETWEEN TWO PARTS, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A MAGNETIC BODY
A method for determining a relative angular position between two parts about an axis of rotation (A), implementing a magnetized body (10), in the shape of an angular curved sector about the axis of rotation (A), characterized in that the magnetization plane of the magnetized body (PM) is parallel to the axis of rotation (A), for a sensor system having such a magnetized body, and to a method for manufacturing such a magnetized body.
Joystick assembly
A joystick assembly for use with a device including a joystick surface and a first magnet having north and south magnetic poles includes a second magnet having north and south magnetic poles and a movable elongated shaft having first and second opposing ends arranged along a major axis of the shaft. The first end of the shaft is coupled to the second magnet such that movement of the shaft results in movement of the second magnet relative to the first magnet such that a line between centers of the north and south magnetic poles of the second magnet is movable relative to a line between the north and south magnetic poles of the first magnet. An attraction of the second magnet to the first magnet results in a restoring force upon the shaft, and the shaft and the second magnet are removable from the joystick surface.
Method for examining a magnetic field source
The invention relates to a method for examining a magnetic field source. In this case, the magnetic vector field emanating from the magnetic field source is detected in a first coordinate system and corresponding magnetic field data is generated. Furthermore, the geometrical body of the magnetic field source is geometrically detected in a second coordinate system and corresponding geometrical data is generated. Subsequently, the first and the second coordinate systems are transferred into a mutual coordinate system by means of a coordinate transformation and the magnetic field data and the geometrical data are combined within the mutual coordinate system in order to place the magnetic vector field of the magnetic field source and the geometrical body of the magnetic field source into a mutual positional relationship.
