Orientation dependent token and method for playing a game therewith
Apparatus and methods for playing an orientation-based tabletop game in which one or more game components have functions that vary depending on the orientation of the game component on the game board as compared to the physical location of player positions around the game board. As pieces rotate during the course of play, functional indicators on the game pieces alter the rules or functions of the game piece in the game with respect to each player, depending upon the orientation of the game piece in relation to each player.

Board Game Apparatus with Variable Game Surface and Method of Play
An apparatus and method for playing a board game which includes at least two distinguishable sets of playing pieces, each set being assigned to one player of the game, a game surface set by the players from assigned surface tiles, and dice, a pair being assigned to each player of the game. Players set up the game surface, and thereafter playing pieces, in an order determined by each player rolling a pair of dice. Setup is thereby varied each game to provide a new challenge. Players, in order, act by moving playing pieces, jumping over opposing playing pieces and removing them, and attacking opposing playing pieces. Winning an attack involves having the highest score on a roll of the dice and the winner's piece remains on the game surface. A player wins if they are the only one with pieces remaining on the game surface.
Multi-player game system
A game system for playing a multi-player game. The game system comprises a hexagonal game board. The game board comprises a plurality of hexagonal cells on a top surface of the game board. The cells are separated into a plurality of kingdoms comprising kingdom cells, a plurality of battlefield cells, and a central cell. The game system additionally comprises a plurality of sets of game pieces. Each of the sets of game pieces is associated with one of the plurality of kingdoms. At least one of the game pieces from each of the plurality of sets of game pieces includes an indicia on the at least one game piece. The indicia is indicative of a legal maneuver permitted by the at least one game piece.
GAME BOARD MECHANISM
Systems, methods, and devices implement game units that have reduced power consumption. Game units include housings and game boards coupled to the housings and configured to receive and hold a plurality of game pieces. The game units further include insert assemblies coupled to the housings and configured to receive payment from a user. The game units also include gating devices coupled to the game boards and configured to hold game pieces in the game boards when in a first position, and further configured to release game pieces from the game boards when in a second position. The game units also include mechanical devices configured to return the gating device to the first position from the second position after a designated period of time, and catches configured to receive game pieces from the game board through the gating device.
