PATTERNED ANODES FOR LITHIUM-BASED ENERGY STORAGE DEVICES

A lithium-ion battery may include a cathode, an anode, and a polymer electrolyte. The anode may include a current collector. The current collector may include a metal oxide layer provided in a first pattern overlaying a metal layer. The anode may also include a patterned lithium storage structure. The patterned lithium storage structure may include a continuous porous lithium storage layer overlaying at least a portion of the first pattern of metal oxide. These and other lithium-ion batteries are described.

All-solid-state battery laminate

Provided is a laminate-type all-solid state battery configured to suppress the occurrence of short circuits. Disclosed is an all-solid-state battery, wherein a width of the anode layer is larger than a width of the cathode layer; wherein the anode current collector layer comprises an anode current collector layer protrusion protruding in plane direction at any one side of the battery laminate; wherein the cathode current collector layer comprises a cathode current collector layer protrusion protruding in plane direction at any one side of the battery laminate; and wherein the battery laminate comprises side surface fixing portions composed of a resin.

BATTERY

A battery includes an electrode layer, a counter electrode layer, which is a counter electrode for the electrode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer between the electrode layer and the counter electrode layer. The solid electrolyte layer has a first region containing a first solid electrolyte material and a second region containing a second solid electrolyte material. The first region is positioned within a region where the electrode layer and the counter electrode layer face each other. The second region is positioned on an outer peripheral side of the region where the electrode layer and the counter electrode layer face each other, and is in contact with the first region. The first region includes a first projecting portion that projects outward from a region where the electrode layer and the counter electrode layer face each other, and the second region covers the first projecting portion.

BATTERY

A battery includes an electrode layer, a counter electrode layer, which is a counter electrode for the electrode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer between the electrode layer and the counter electrode layer. The solid electrolyte layer has a first region containing a first solid electrolyte material and a second region containing a second solid electrolyte material. Cylindrical battery

A battery comprises a first polarity terminal that is attached via a first insulating member to an opening of an outer case. A first polarity plate includes: a first core formed of a conductive material; and a first active material layer. A first drawn-out portion is formed from a side of the first core on the first polarity terminal side thereof being drawn further out than a side of the first active material layer on the first polarity terminal side thereof. The first drawn-out portion includes a first bent portion that is bent towards the radially inner or outer side of the electrode body. A first surface of a first polarity collector plate contacts the surface of the first bent portion on the first polarity terminal side, and the first polarity terminal connects directly or via a conductive member to a second surface of the first polarity collector plate.

Cylindrical battery

A battery comprises a first polarity terminal that is attached via a first insulating member to an opening of an outer case. A first polarity plate includes: a first core formed of a conductive material; and a first active material layer. A first drawn-out portion is formed from a side of the first core on the first polarity terminal side thereof being drawn further out than a side of the first active material layer on the first polarity terminal side thereof. The first drawn-out portion includes a first bent portion that is bent towards the radially inner or outer side of the electrode body. A first surface of a first polarity collector plate contacts the surface of the first bent portion on the first polarity terminal side, and the first polarity terminal connects directly or via a conductive member to a second surface of the first polarity collector plate.
