The refrigerant energy storage tank contains piping or ductwork to be in fluid communication with the HVAC system, refrigerant system, or atmosphere of the local building to provide stored refrigerant energy to the local building.

A power supply device includes an electrical connector and a power interrupt system. The electrical connector is configured to facilitate electrically coupling an electronic device to a power source to at least one of charge and power the electronic device. The power interrupt system selectively couples the power source to the electrical connector. The power interrupt system is configured to (a) provide energy to the electrical connector in response to at least one of (i) a first user request and (ii) a determination that the electronic device is coupled to the electrical connector, and (b) limit the energy provided to the electrical connector at least one of (i) in response to a second user request, (ii) in response to a determination that the electronic device is decoupled from the electrical connector, and (iii) after a threshold elapsed time.

The power storage unit includes: a power storage device; a heater for heating the power storage device; a temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of the power storage device; and a control circuit configured to inhibit charge of the power storage device when its temperature is lower than a first temperature or higher than a second temperature. The first temperature is exemplified by a temperature which allows the formation of a dendrite over a negative electrode of the power storage device, whereas the second temperature is exemplified by a temperature which causes decomposition of a passivating film formed over a surface of a negative electrode active material.

The control circuit transmits a message to the personal data device when the control circuit detects the electric signal indicating that the mailbox door is open.
