Threadless tuning elements for coaxial resonators, and method for tuning same

A high-frequency filter with a coaxial design has at least one resonator with a first inner conductor and an outer conductor housing. The outer conductor housing comprises a housing base, a housing cover which is arranged at a distance from the housing base, and a peripheral housing wall between the housing base and the housing cover. The first inner conductor is galvanically connected to the housing base and extends axially from the housing base in the direction of the housing cover. The resonator comprises a second internal conductor which is galvanically connected to the housing cover and extends axially from the housing cover in the direction of the housing base. The first and/or second inner conductor has an inner conductor bore, and a tuning element is arranged in one inner conductor bore in a thread-free axially movable manner. The tuning element is arranged in a sleeve or bushing and optionally or in addition thereto has an enlarged elastic region.

A three-sided sleeve monopole antenna provides omnidirectional radiation patterns from 1.7-2.7 GHz, and each side of the sleeve monopole incorporates two series-fed linear patch arrays operating at 27.5-28.35 GHz. The sleeve monopole provides 3G/4G/LTE coverage while the patch arrays provide sectored MIMO 5G coverage.

The present disclosure relates to a radio frequency filter having a cavity structure, and including a housing having internally a hollow space and an open side to provide at least one cavity, at least one resonance element located in the hollow space of the housing, a cover configured to have at least one groove which is internally threaded, recessed at a predetermined diameter and depth at a position corresponding to the resonance element, and has a bottom portion that is thinner than other portions, and to close the open side of the housing, and at least one frequency tuning screw configured to threadedly mate with the groove of the cover. When the frequency tuning screw threadedly mates with the groove, a bottom surface of the groove is depressed by the frequency tuning screw toward the resonant element.

The at least one partition comprises a first opening, wherein a common terminal of the first duplex filter assembly is electrically or electromagnetically connected to a common terminal of the first phase shifter arrangement through the first opening. Furthermore, an antenna-side terminal of the first phase shifter arrangement is electrically connected directly or indirectly to a first terminal of at least one radiating element.
