Methods and apparatuses for transmitting data through a switch-based network in an in-vehicle communications network system. In an example transmission-based method, the method includes for a transmitter device generating, by a generator, a reservoir data stream (RSSj). The method also includes transmitting the reservoir data stream (RSSj) through the switch-based network. The method further includes, when a new data stream from the transmitter device to a receiver device is needed, replacing, by an injector, at least part of the reservoir data stream (RSSj) by a new data stream.

A binding and configuration method for a bus adapter and a channel, a mapping manager, and a connection system are provided. The binding and configuration method for the bus adapter and the channel includes: configuring a mapping table of a mapping manager; associating a logical channel with a corresponding hardware channel based on the mapping table; and connecting the logical channel to the corresponding hardware channel for data communication. A common architecture for the application program to access bus adapter resources is realized. The application programs using this architecture can arbitrarily configure the bus adapter model and the hardware channel that need to be connected, and the mapping relationship takes effect immediately after each configuration change without modifying the user's software, thus improving the efficiency of the application program development and reducing the possibility of errors.

A computing system has with a computing device. The computing system has an input data path, which unidirectionally connects an interface device of the computing system to the computing device, and an output data diode, which unidirectionally connects the computing device to at least one output interface of the computing system. The input data path has a series circuit which is arranged downstream of the interface device and contains an input data diode and a data lock. The input data diode allows a transmission of data in the direction of the computing device and prevents the transmission of data in the opposite direction. The data lock has a first and a second terminal and a temporary storage unit for temporarily storing data and is configured such that the temporary storage unit can be selectively connected solely to the first or second terminal but not simultaneously to both terminals.

One or more examples relate, generally, to an apparatus. Such an apparatus includes a digital interface, a wake detect logic, and a power management connection. The digital interface may define a physical layer transceiver side of a connection between a physical layer transceiver and a physical layer controller, respectively of a 10SPE physical layer. The wake detect logic may communicate a source of detected wake from the physical layer transceiver to the physical layer controller via the digital interface. The power management connection may operatively couple to an enable connection of a switched voltage regulator.

In a system and method of operating a system that includes a controller and a first bus participant and a successor, the bus participant and successor each has a circuit arrangement arranged between an output and an input, a first resistor is arranged between the output and the supply voltage terminal, a second resistor is arranged between the input and a ground terminal, a third resistor can be arranged between the input and the supply voltage terminal by a first controllable semiconductor switch, and a fourth resistor can be arranged between the output and the supply voltage terminal by a second controllable semiconductor switch.

The present disclosure provides for centralized, scheduler-based handling for UEs which transmit data to and receive data from a maneuver coordinator based on V2X communication. Once a UE is aware of the maneuver coordinator, the UE may send a request to the maneuver coordinator for maneuver operation scheduling. The maneuver coordinator then schedules and coordinates the UE's operation.

A transmitter device of a bus-based communication system may add one or more padding bits, associated with providing traffic flow confidentiality for communication of a payload on a communication bus, either to the payload on a transport layer, or to one or more first frames on a data link layer. The one or more first frames may include a transport layer payload associated with the payload. The transmitter device may transmit one or more second frames, including a data link layer payload associated with the one or more first frames, on the communication bus. A receiver device of the bus-based communication system may receive the one or more second frames on the communication bus. The receiver device may process the one or more padding bits from either the one or more first frames on the data link layer, or from the payload on the transport layer.

A gateway device is connected via one or more networks to electronic controllers on-board a vehicle. The gateway device includes one or more memories, and circuitry that acquires firmware update information. The circuitry determines whether or not a first electronic controller satisfies a second condition based on second information about the first electronic controller, where the second information is whether the first electronic controller includes a firmware cache for performing a pre-update firmware cache operation. The circuitry also causes, when the second condition is not satisfied, the gateway device to execute a proxy process, where the gateway device requests the first electronic controller to transmit boot ROM data to the gateway device, creates updated boot ROM data with the updated firmware, and transmits the updated boot ROM data to the first electronic controller that updates the boot ROM and resets the first electronic controller with the updated firmware.

A communication gateway for communicating data frames for a motor vehicle, the gateway being intended to be connected to a plurality of electronic control units in order to exchange data frames, the gateway including: as many management modules as there are electronic control units; a memory in which are stored a lookup table including an index list, with each of the indices of which is associated a memory space, a level-zero addressing table, a level-one addressing table, a level-two addressing table and an address table of levels; a space manager for managing spaces of the lookup table that is configured to determine a free index in the lookup table, and when a memory space of the lookup table is freed or is filled, to modify the byte stored in each memory region of each addressing table associated with the index.

A computer-implemented method for processing data which are associated for example with a signal transmittable and/or transmitted via a bus system, for example of a vehicle, including: at least intermittent provision of reference data for a statistical model which characterizes at least one average of at least one characteristic of the signal on the basis of a first average determined, for example dynamically, over a predefinable unweighted first number of values for the characteristic, and at least intermittent modification of the reference data at least in part on the basis of a second average determined, for example dynamically, over a predefinable weighted second number of values for the characteristic.
