Automated root cause analysis of underperforming video streams by using language transformers on support ticket systems
A method and system corrects a content delivery infrastructure. The method of the system includes receiving a request to resolve reported issues for the content delivery infrastructure, collecting content delivery metrics for the content delivery infrastructure, executes a language transformer model on the request and the content delivery metrics to generate a set of possible resolutions with confidence ratings, and implementing an automated solution based on a resolution from the set of possible resolutions, in response to the resolution having a confidence rating above a threshold.
Capture, recording and streaming of media content
A method includes identifying a plurality of layers of audio content available on a local device, each of the plurality of layers corresponding to one or more audio sources, receiving user input indicating a selection of a subset of two or more of the plurality of layers, storing, based on the user input, data identifying the selected layers of the plurality of layers of the audio content available on a local device, capturing, based on the stored data, the selected layers of the audio content, creating an output layer by mixing the selected layers of the audio content without including any unselected layer of the plurality of layers, determining an output frame rate for the output layer, and transmitting the output layer at the determined output frame rate to a media hosting service for presentation at a remote device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PLAYING MEDIA ASSETS STORED ON A DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER WHILE A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE IS ONLINE
Improved technical functionality is provided to dynamically select and seamlessly play advertisements immediately before playing of a recorded program upon selection of the recorded program for playing, or upon other detected events and conditions associated with the set-top-box (STB) or user. In some embodiments, this is performed by using metadata which may be delivered to and stored on a digital video recorder (DVR) prior to recording the program, providing a technical solution to enable opportunities for additional advertisement impressions. Playing of the advertisement may also or instead occur upon the recorded program finishing playing. Thus, the technical solution provides the additional opportunity for the content creator and/or the satellite television or cable service provider to sell advertising spots in addition to those already sold for breaks within the recorded program.
User interface for a remote control application
A hand-held electronic device having a remote control application user interface that functions to displays operational mode information to a user. The graphical user interface may be used, for example, to setup the remote control application to control appliances for one or more users in one or more rooms, to perform activities, and to access favorites. The remote control application is also adapted to be upgradeable. Furthermore, the remote control application provides for the sharing of operational mode information.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOTE SUPPORT SERVICE
A method for a remote support service performed by a remote control device includes receiving, from a controlled terminal, a first image packet including image data for a first image, rendering the first image based on the image data, transmitting a control packet including control data corresponding to an administrator's input to the controlled terminal when the administrator's input for the rendered first image is detected, receiving a second image packet including image data for a second image obtained by capturing the screen of the controlled terminal and identification information on whether or not the second image data is an image generated for the first time after a control event based on the control data is performed, determining whether or not to render the second image based on the identification information, and rendering the second image based on the image data for the second image according to the determination result.
MEASURING RESPONSE TRENDS IN A DIGITAL TELEVISION NETWORK
Techniques and systems for providing a trend server outside a content provider network to communicate with the content provider network to build a trend record based on responses received from the content provider network for monitoring certain activity trend or tendency in the content provider network and provide an alert when the content provider network behaves abnormally.
Systems, methods, and devices for enabling live media production services
A live media production function (LMPF) provisions a live media production service and live media service in a 5G system. The LMPF may be deployed as a virtual or physical network function in a 5G network or as an application function interfacing with the 5G network over a standardized interface.
Dynamic quality of service for over-the-top content
A method, non-transitory computer readable medium and apparatus for changing a quality of service for data packets that are delivered over-the-top are disclosed. For example, the method includes a processor that identifies the data packets as video data packets that are delivered over-the-top in a communication network, changes the quality of service associated with the data packets from a best effort quality of service level to a higher priority quality of service level, monitors the data packets until no video data packet is identified in the data packets and changes the quality of service associated with the data packets back to the best effort quality of service level from the higher priority quality of service level.
Determination of QOE in encrypted video streams using supervised learning
A method and respective system for determining quality of experience parameters of an encrypted video stream received at a client device is provided. The method comprises extracting, from one or more encrypted video streams sent over a network from a content server to a plurality of client devices, a first instance of at least one stream-related feature. A first instance of at least one quality-related label of a plurality of quality-related labels is determined based on applying a trained classifier to the first instance of the at least one stream-related feature, wherein each of the plurality of quality-related labels corresponds to a respective experience parameter of the quality of experience parameters of the encrypted video stream received at the client device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CHAINING CONTROL-PLANE VIRTUAL FUNCTIONS FOR ENSURING END-TO-END QUALITY OF SERVICE (QOS) OF INTERNET SERVICES
Described herein are systems and methods for QoS chaining based on control-plane virtual functions for ensuring end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS) of Internet services. The QoS chaining coordinates broadband service delivery via an orchestrated “chain” or Network Service (NS) consisting of control-plane Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) running in the cloud or virtual infrastructure. Separate service elements, network elements, network domains or other service plane or data plane elements or systems have a separate corresponding VNF in the control plane provide monitor and control functions. QoS is ensured End-to-End (E2E) across the chain of VNFs by coordination through the QoS chain or by a coordinating or integrating E2E orchestrator or E2E VNF. The VNFs may be chained, may communicate directly with each other, and may communicate directly with the E2E orchestrator, may communicate with each other through the E2E orchestrator, or may communicate through a shared database.
