Profile management method, embedded universal integrated circuit card, and terminal
Embodiments of the present subject matter provide a local profile management method, an embedded universal integrated circuit card, and a terminal. The embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) includes a primary platform and at least one installed bundle. The primary platform is a hardware platform. Each bundle includes at least one profile and an operating system (OS). The primary platform includes a processing module, which is configured to: receive a first message sent by a local profile assistant (LPA), where the first message is an operation instruction entered by a user; and separately send a second message to at least one OS corresponding to the at least one bundle, where the second message is used by the at least one OS to perform a corresponding operation. Local management of profiles of different OSs is implemented by using the processing module disposed on the primary platform of the eUICC.
Mechanism to activate and manage a standalone device for cellular service
Some embodiments relate to methods and systems for initiating and transferring cellular subscription service using associated cellular communication devices. Cellular service may be initiated for a first cellular communication device via a second cellular communication device. The first cellular communication device may be provisioned to operate in an independent mode. In other scenarios, cellular service may be transferred from the first cellular communication device operating in independent mode to a third cellular communication device, which may be provisioned to operate in independent mode.
Methods and apparatus for efficient transfer of multiple cellular service credentials
This Application describes mechanisms to transfer cellular service plans and associated credentials efficiently between wireless devices. Information regarding transferability of cellular services for SIMs/eSIMs to a wireless device are obtained from locally stored or remotely accessible cellular service information and/or associated mobile network operator (MNO) information. Access to network-based servers to determine transferability and/or to effect transfer can use non-cellular connections when available. Transferability information can be presented to a user to narrow selection of cellular service plans to transfer.
Provisioning an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) of a mobile communication device
A method of provisioning an eUICC of a mobile communication device. The method comprises sending a GSMA confirm order request from an eUICC provisioning application executing on a computer system to a SM-DP+ server, wherein the confirm order comprises an ICCID and a FQDN of a discovery server; in response to receiving a GSMA confirm order response indicating a failure of the discovery server, determining by the eUICC provisioning application that a mobile communication device associated with the ICCID is configured with an LPA application that is able to complete an alternative eSIM profile provisioning process using a scanning device to capture an activation code; generating an activation code by the eUICC provisioning application that encodes an address of the SM-DP+ server and the ICCID; and sending the activation code by the eUICC provisioning application to an email account associated with a user of the mobile communication device.
Secure provisioning of electronic subscriber identity module (eSIM) profiles
A method of providing an electronic subscriber identity module (eSIM) profile to a wireless communication device. The method comprises receiving an eSIM profile provisioning request by a subscription manager-data preparation+ (SM-DP+) server, wherein the provisioning request comprises an embedded UICC identifier (EID) number, a private identity code, and wireless communication service subscription information; building an eSIM profile package by the SM-DP+ server based in part on the wireless communication service subscription information, wherein the eSIM profile package comprises an eSIM profile, the EID number, and the private identity code; sending a notification of the availability of the eSIM profile by the SM-DP+ server to a subscription manager-discovery server (SM-DS server), wherein the notification comprises the EID number and the private identity code; and transmitting the eSIM profile package by the SM-DP+ server to the wireless communication device.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
A communication method and apparatus. The communication method includes reporting a capability parameter set, in which the capability parameter set represents information on a capability supported by the terminal; and receiving first schedule information sent by a network device, in which the first schedule information includes second schedule information corresponding to a capability parameter subset, and the capability parameter subset includes a capability parameter matching a business requirement of the terminal in the capability parameter set.
Method and apparatus for reinstalling SIM profile in wireless communication system
The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5.sup.th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4.sup.th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services.
NETWORK ACCESS METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A network access method. The network access method includes: receiving paging signaling by using a first SIM card in a terminal; and in response to determining that the paging signaling comprises identity information of at least two SIM cards in the terminal, selecting one SIM card from the at least two SIM cards to connect to a network.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROVIDING EVENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises transmitting to a subscription manager discovery service (SM-DS) information indicating a support of a push service, receiving from the SM-DS a list of push services supported by the SM-DS, selecting at least one push service based on the list of push services supported by the SM-DS, generating an embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card (eUICC) signature based on an indicator indicating at least one selected push service and a push token, and transmitting to the SM-DS the indicator, the push token, and the eUICC signature.
INFORMATION SHARING METHOD FOR SMART SCENE SERVICE AND RELATED APPARATUS
An information sharing method for a smart scene service is disclosed, including: A first electronic device of a first user receives first information. When determining that the first information includes information about a to-be-processed transaction of a target event, the first electronic device generates a first smart scene service of the target event based on the information about the to-be-processed transaction, where the first smart scene service provides the first user with a reminder service and/or a planning service of the to-be-processed transaction. The first electronic device sends a part or all of the information about the to-be-processed transaction to a second electronic device of a second user. This can implement information sharing of a smart scene service between a plurality of devices.
