An electronic device is provided, including a first circuit board, a second circuit board, a supporting member, and a first locking member. The first circuit board has a first hole. The second circuit board has a second hole, a pin, and a metal connector, wherein the pin is connected to the first circuit board. The supporting member has a first portion disposed in the first hole, a second portion, and a screw hole extending from the first portion to the second portion, wherein the diameter of the first portion is less than that of the second portion. The first locking member passes through the second hole and enters the screw hole to affix the second circuit board to the supporting member. The second portion is disposed between the first circuit board and the second circuit board to form a gap therebetween.

CLIP UNIT AND EDGE MOUNTED LIGHT EMITTING DIODE (LED) ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A CLIP UNIT
20170356630 · 2017-12-14 ·

A clip unit and an edge mount light emitting diode (LED) assembly comprising a clip unit. The clip unit provides a mounting structure for mounting a light source, such as an LED, to an edge of a printed circuit board (PCB). A surface mount LED, for example, can thus be easily mounted to the edge of the PCB so as to project light in a direction normal to the edge surface of the PCB, instead of the typical mounting orientation that allows for the projection of light normal to the primary surface of the PCB. The clip unit includes an anode retention clip and a cathode retention clip which are electrically isolated from one another within an insulative housing portion.

DISPLAY PANEL INCLUDING EXTERNAL CONDUCTIVE PAD, DISPLAY APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A display apparatus includes a first base substrate defining: an outer edge thereof at which a side surface is exposed, and an upper surface thereof connected to the outer edge; first and second guiding dams on the upper surface and extending from an inside of the first base substrate to the outer edge; a first signal line on the upper surface and extending between the first and second guiding dams from the inside of the first base substrate to the outer edge thereof; and a first side pad connected to the first signal line. The first side pad includes a first horizontal portion on the upper surface and extending between the first and second guiding dams, in a top plan view, and the first horizontal portion extending to define a first vertical portion which is disposed on the side surface.

ELECTRICAL CONTACT PAD FOR ELECTRICALLY CONTACTING A CONNECTOR

An electrical contact pad for electrically contacting a connector includes a first region having a first length in a longitudinal direction, and a second region having a second length in the longitudinal direction that is greater than the first length. The first region is arranged to contact a first arm of the connector and the second region is arranged to contact a second arm of the connector. The first length being smaller than the second length results in an increase in the impedance of the electrical contact pad as compared to typical contact pads which tend to correspond to low impedance regions.

FLEXIBLE DISPLAY DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A flexible display device includes a flexible substrate that includes a first side; a display unit disposed in a first region of the first side and that includes a plurality of pixels; and a pad portion disposed in a second region of the first side and that includes a plurality of pad electrodes. The flexible substrate includes a stepwise recess portion disposed along an edge of the first side on which end portions of the pad electrodes are provided.

CARD EDGE CONNECTOR WITH INTRA-PAIR COUPLING

Systems, apparatuses, and methods related to a printed circuit board (PCB) with a plurality of layers are described. An edge connector may be formed on an end of the PCB substrate and may include contact pins on an outer layer of the plurality of layers. The edge connector may also include an intra-pair coupling block disposed on one or more interior layers such that at least a portion of the intra-pair coupling block is colinear with at least one contact pin on the outer layer. The electronic device may also include at least one integrated circuit on the PCB and electrically connected to the contact pins. The intra-pair coupling component may induce coupling of signals carried by the contact pins.

ELECTRICAL CONTACT PAD FOR ELECTRICALLY CONTACTING A CONNECTOR

An electrical contact pad for electrically contacting a connector includes first, second and third regions. The first region is connected to a trace. The second region is adjacent to the first region and has a width less than the first region. The third region is adjacent to the second region and has a width that is greater than the second region. The third region is sized to make contact with a connector. Having the width of the second region be smaller than the width of the first and third regions increases an impedance of the electrical contact pad.

Platform Supports the Shortest Electrical Connection between Two QSFP DD Transceivers

Two QSFP-DD transceivers' footprints are placed on the opposite sides of a PCB board. The two footprints are aligned in a special way and the connections among the pads of the two footprints are also specially defined. Based on that, the pads of the two footprints are connected through PCB traces and VIA. Two QSFP-DD electrical connectors are soldered onto the two footprints. So the high-speed signals from two QSFP-DD transceivers are directly connected in the shortest way when the two transceivers are plugged into the two QSFP-DD connectors.
