The apparatus may further include a connector to electrically connect the PCB with another apparatus or another portion of the apparatus. The connector may include a pin to provide connectivity between the PCB and the connector. The pin may be inserted into the via in response to an attachment of the connector to the PCB. The PCB may include a space that extends from an end of the via inside the PCB to a second surface of the PCB opposite the first surface, to accommodate layers for signal routing inside the PCB. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Electronic device comprising a module connected to a PCB and electronic unit comprising such a device
A printed circuit board including at least one blind metal-plated hole, for receiving a pin of the printed circuit board being covered by a first layer of a protective film on which there extends a second layer of electrically insulating flexible material, the first layer and second layer are for piercing by the pins when they are engaged in the metal-plated holes, the first and second layers being for claming between a support of the pins and the printed circuit board. An electronic unit including such a device. A method of fabricating a printed circuit card for such a device.
Press-fit terminal and electronic device including press-fit terminal
A press-fit terminal includes a bar part and a deformation part provided at an end portion of the bar part. The deformation part includes a recess, a front boundary portion and a rear boundary portion. The recess is provided between a front end portion of the deformation part and the end portion of the bar part. The front boundary portion defines a boundary between the recess and a surface of the deformation part adjacent to the front end portion of the deformation part. The rear boundary portion defines a boundary between the recess and the surface of the deformation part adjacent to the end portion of the bar part.
Contacting arrangement and method for forming the contacting arrangement
A contacting arrangement between an electrical component and a circuit carrier, the component being connected to a connection element formed as a part separate from the component, and the connection element being electroconductively contacted directly with the circuit carrier via at least one press-fit connection.
Semiconductor Component and Method for Producing Same
Various embodiments include a semiconductor component comprising: a first carrier part; a second carrier part arranged opposite the first carrier part; a semiconductor element arranged between the first carrier part and the second carrier part; a contact surface arranged on one of the parts; a contact sleeve arranged on one of the carrier parts opposite the contact surface; and a contact pin with, at one axial end, an end face providing an electrical contact connection of the contact surface and, in a region averted from said axial end, a connection region for the connection of the contact pin with the contact sleeve by means of press fitting. At least one of the first carrier part or the second carrier part comprises a printed conductor connected to the contact surface and/or to the contact sleeve.
Electronic module and method for producing an electronic module
An electronic module includes a printed circuit board (PCB) element, a base with a first electrically conductive contact element, and an electronic component with a second electrically conductive contact element. The base is fastened on and electrically connected to the PCB element. The electronic component is electrically connected to the base by an electric contact region between the first and second contact elements. A first portion of the first contact element protrudes from the base on a first side of the base facing away from the PCB element. The first portion of the first contact element and/or a second portion of the second contact element has a resilient configuration such that the electronic component is mechanically fastened to the base by a spring force between the first and second contact elements. The electronic module in one embodiment is configured for a transmission controller or an electric vehicle.
PRESS-FIT POWER MODULE AND RELATED METHODS
Implementations of semiconductor packages may include: one or more die electrically coupled to a lead frame. The lead frame may be included within a housing. The semiconductor package may also include a set of signal leads extending from the housing, a set of power leads extending from the housing, and a plurality of press fit pins each fixedly coupled to the set of signal leads and the set of power leads. The set of signal leads and the set of power leads may be configured to couple with a substrate.
Semiconductor module
A semiconductor module includes: a circuit board on which a first semiconductor chip and a second semiconductor chip are mounted and includes a first through hole formed with a conductor foil therein; a press-fit terminal that is electrically connected to the conductor foil in the first through hole of the circuit board; and a second resin that is disposed on a surface side and a back surface side of the circuit board. Further, the press-fit terminal is provided with a pressure contact portion which is press-fitted into the first through hole and is electrically connected to the conductor foil in the first through hole, and the second resin on the surface side of the circuit board and the second resin on the back surface side of the circuit board are integrally formed via a second resin that is filled in the first through hole.
Electrical assemblies for downhole use
