A shielded electrical ribbon cable includes adjacent first and second longitudinal conductor sets where each conductor set includes two or more insulated conductors. The first conductor set also includes a ground conductor that generally lies in the plane of the insulated conductors of the first conductor set. At least 90% of the periphery of each conductor set is encompassed by a shielding film. First and second non-conductive polymeric films are disposed on opposite sides of the cable and form cover portions substantially surrounding each conductor set, and pinched portions on each side of each conductor set. When the cable is laid flat, the distance between the center of the ground conductor of the first conductor set and the center of the nearest insulated conductor of the second conductor set is 1, the center-to-center spacing of the insulated conductors of the second conductor set is 2, and 1/2 is greater than 0.7.

A differential signaling cable includes a pair of signal conductors provided in parallel, longitudinally within the differential signaling cable, an insulator covering a periphery of the pair of signal conductors as a whole, wherein only the insulator is between the pair of signal conductors, and a shield conductor provided on an outer periphery of the insulator. An interval between the pair of signal conductors is set so that an even-mode impedance of the pair of signal conductors having the interval fixed by embedment within the insulator and covered by the shield conductor, is in a range from 1.5 to 1.9 times an odd-mode impedance for improved skew and differential mode insertion loss experienced during a transmission of high-speed signals of at least 10 Gbps.

A noise reduction cable includes an insulated wire including an insulator and a wire conductor, an outer circumference of which is coated with the insulator, a magnetic-material layer including a magnetic-material-containing member wound around an outer circumference of the insulated wire, a shield layer with which an outer circumference of the magnetic-material layer is coated, a magnetic-material-fixing-and-insulating tape layer that is disposed between the magnetic-material layer and the shield layer. The magnetic-material-fixing-and-insulating tape layer fixes the magnetic-material layer and insulates the magnetic-material layer and the shield layer from each other.

A conductive line shield structure includes a first conductive line and a shielding member. The first conductive line includes a conductive part and an insulative part. The shielding member is a sheet including an insulative base material and a metal foil, and is wrapped so as to enclose the first conductive line therein. One side end part of the shielding member overlaps an outside surface of the insulative base material so that one side end part of the insulative base material is in contact with the outside surface of the insulative base material.

The cover portions in combination substantially surround the plurality of conductor sets. The pinched portions in combination form pinched portions on each side of the cable. A first conductor of the first conductor set is nearest the second conductor set, and a second conductor of the second conductor set is nearest the first conductor set. The first and second conductors have a spacing S and respective outer dimensions D1 and D2. S/Dmin is from 1.7 to 2. Dmin is the lesser of D1 and D2.
