Bag plate electrodes for lead acid battery
A novel pair of lead acid battery electrodes are proposed, which are bagged in terelyne cloth bag without having used any pasting to avoid paste mixer, pasting machine and oven etc. By increasing active material ratio to structural material, higher energy density is achieved. Uses of bag system for both negative and positive plate protect the plates from shredding of active materials on use of battery with lesser chance of failure.

Lead Storage Battery
A lead acid battery is described that makes it possible to suppress an increase in internal resistance and to accurately determine the state of charge or the state of degradation by a method of measuring the internal resistance. The lead acid battery includes an electrode plate group in which a plurality of positive electrode plates having a positive active material containing lead dioxide and a plurality of negative electrode plates having a negative active material containing metallic lead are alternately stacked with separators interposed therebetween. The electrode plate group is immersed in an electrolyte. The flatness of the positive electrode plates after chemical conversion is equal to or less than 4.0 mm
Continuous lead strip casting line, caster, and nozzle
In one embodiment, a lead strip caster for battery grids includes a ladle, a nozzle, and a pair of rollers. The lead strip caster produces a continuous lead strip for use as battery positive plate grids. The ladle has an inlet to receive molten lead and has an outlet. The nozzle has at least one passage that communicates with the outlet of the ladle in order to receive molten lead from the ladle. The first roller is situated at a first exterior side of the nozzle. The first roller rotates via a first driver. The second roller is situated at a second exterior side of the nozzle. The second roller rotates via a second driver.

In one embodiment, a lead strip caster for battery grids includes a nozzle, a pair of rollers, and a molten lead supply to the nozzle. The lead strip caster produces a continuous lead strip for making battery grids. The nozzle has at least one passage that communicates with generally opposed faces of the nozzle at least partially received between the rollers to supply molten lead to exterior surfaces of the corotating rollers to form a continuous solid strip of lead from which battery grids may be made.

Lead-acid battery electrode manufacture
A method for impregnating an active paste into a fibre material in the manufacture of an electrode of a lead acid battery or cell, comprises moving a fibre material through a confined pasting zone also containing a Pb-based paste, while vibrating and maintaining a pressure on the paste, to continuously impregnate the paste into the fibre material. A paste impregnating machine is also disclosed, with a fibre material feed system, and which may use a lug along the fibre material to draw the fibre material through the paste application stage.
