The first connector component includes a first press fit cable connector and a pluggable connector that is electrically connected to the first press fit cable connector, and the pluggable connector is farther from the support board than the first press fit cable connector. The first press fit cable connector is connected to the second press fit cable connector through the cable.

A connector for providing an electrical connection between at least one terminating mating terminal to a substrate. The connector includes a housing having at least one terminal receiving cavity. A receptacle terminal is positioned in the at least one terminal receiving cavity. The receptacle terminal has a latching projection which cooperates with the at least one mating terminal to retain the at least one mating terminal in electrical engagement with the receptacle terminal when the at least one mating terminal is fully inserted in the at least one terminal receiving cavity. A release mechanism is provided in the housing in line with the latching projection of the receptacle terminal, the release mechanism is configured to cooperate with the receptacle terminal to depress the latching projection when the at least one mating terminal is to be removed from the at least one terminal receiving cavity.

A card edge connector includes an insulative housing defining a card receiving slot extending along a longitudinal direction, a plurality of terminals retained in the housing and by two sides of the card receiving slot in a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and a metallic guiding member retained to the housing at the end of the card receiving slot. The metallic guiding member includes a main body extending in a vertical direction perpendicular to both the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction, and a curved resilient guiding section upwardly extending from a top end of the main body. The housing forms a constraining wall at the end with a step structure so as to allow the guiding section of the guiding member to be freely support upon the step structure to function as a constrained beam during confrontation with the inserted card module.
