Compact, low-cost electric field mill
An electric field mill (EFM) incorporates a novel rotor and shaft grounding mechanism providing a low-impedance path to ground via a bearing packed with electrically conductive grease. A removable bearing washer allows for servicing. The EFM includes a data processing scheme built around a peak detection algorithm and moving much of the signal processing to digital processing. A GPS disciplined sampling clock and cellular connectivity allow for use and maintenance of arrays of widely scattered EFMs.

DISK DEVICE
According to one embodiment, a disk device includes a magnetic disk and a rotary unit. The magnetic disk is rotatable about a first rotation axis extending in the first direction. The rotary unit includes a rotary member, a bearing, and a first filter. The bearing contains a lubricant and rotatably supports the rotary member about a second rotation axis. The first filter captures at least one component contained in the lubricant. The rotary member is provided with a hole and a first communication port. The hole extends along the second rotation axis to accommodate the bearing. The first communication port extends in a direction intersecting the second rotation axis to allow the hole to be in communication with an outside of the rotary member. The first filter is disposed in the first communication port or covers the first communication port.
THIN FAN AND THIN-PLATE MOTOR
A thin fan includes a frame and a driving device. The driving device includes a stator structure and a rotor structure corresponding to the stator structure. The stator structure includes a stator magnetic pole group and a base body The rotor structure includes a rotor shell, a magnetic structure and an impeller connected to the rotor shell. The rotor shell includes a top plate, an outer sidewall, an oil seal and a protruding structure. A center of the rotor shell is formed with a cylindrical shaft. The rotor shell and the shaft are a single component manufactured by processing a single material workpiece. The stator magnetic pole group magnetically drives the magnetic structure as well as the rotor shell to rotate. Wherein an inner surface of the rotor shell facing the stator structure and corresponding to the base body is formed with an oil repellent layer.
Cooling fan
A cooling fan includes: a rotary shaft which is rotatably supported in a fan housing; a rotor which is fixed to the rotary shaft; a stator which is fixed to the fan housing, is arranged so as to be arranged at a predetermined gap away from the rotor, and includes a plurality of stacked stator cores on which a coil is wound; an impeller which is connected to the rotor; a printed circuit board (PCB) which is installed on the bottom side of the stator and controls the cooling fan; and a ground portion which is installed on the stator cores, is electrically connected to a ground pattern of the PCB and expands a ground surface. Thus, damage of circuit components due to electrostatic electricity is prevented, and EMI shielding properties are improved.
Motor
A motor includes a stator with a stator core, an insulator, coils, and a terminal pin. The stator core includes an annular core back and teeth. The teeth extend radially outward from the core back and are arranged in the circumferential direction. The coil is defined by a conductive wire wound around a tooth via the insulator. The conductor is connected to the conductive wire and is connected to the circuit board. The insulator includes a cylindrical terminal holder located between adjacent ones of the teeth, extends in the axial direction, and accommodates the conductor. The core back includes a stator recess located between adjacent ones of the teeth and is recessed radially inward from the radially outer surface. The stator recess accommodates at least a portion of the terminal holder.
HYBRID SPHERICAL MOTOR, SYSTEM, AND AERIAL VEHICLE INCORPORATING THE SAME
A hybrid spherical motor includes a first gear box, a second gear box, a yoke arm, a brushless direct current (BLDC) motor, a spherical stator, and a spherical armature. The split armature, in response to the spherical stator being energized, rotates about a first rotational axis, thereby causing the first gear box input connection and the second gear box input connection to rotate about the first rotational axis, and the yoke arm rotates about the first rotational axis in response to the first gear box input connection and the second gear box input connection being rotated about the first rotational axis, whereby the BLDC motor rotates about the first rotational axis.
