System and method for providing synchronized interactive multimedia content to mobile devices based on geolocation of a vehicle
A system has a plurality of machine readable tags, and includes a server system for synchronizing the display of interactive mobile content on a user device with a destination of a vehicle, the system. Each of the machine readable tags encodes an address, and is mounted within the vehicle for access by persons in the vehicle. The system receives a request from the user device, generated by scanning one of the machine readable tags, and determines the destination of the vehicle. A coupon is selected and provided that corresponds with the destination of the vehicle. The users on the vehicle that have selected the coupon for download are determined, each of the users who have downloaded the coupon are notified of the identities of the other users who downloaded the coupon, and transportation of all of the users is facilitated, to the location of the restaurant so they may utilize the coupon which each of them downloaded.
Vehicle entertainment system
Methods and systems for a vehicle entertainment system are provided. One method includes generating by a processor, a plurality of media sets for storing a plurality of media files at a transportation vehicle, each of the plurality of media set configured to store a first set of media files playable at the same time by all passengers, a second set of media files playable at the same time by up to X percentage of the passengers and a third set of media files playable at the same time by up to Y percentage of the passengers; distributing by the processor, the plurality of media files for storage across a plurality of smart monitors of the transportation vehicle; monitoring user access of the plurality of media files on the transportation vehicle; and modifying by the processor, an assignment of a media file between the first set, the second set and the third set based on a plurality of factors.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DISPLAYING AND CONTROLLING A REMOTELY EXECUTED APPLICATION ON A DISPLAY OF A VEHICLE
Systems and methods for displaying and controlling a remotely executed application on a display of a vehicle are disclosed. A method may include: receiving, by one or more processors, one or more video signals from one or more video sources onboard the vehicle; receiving, by the one or more processors, at a client module, a video signal including an image or display of the application executing on a remote server through a network; combining, by the one or more processors, via a video router, the received one or more video signals from the one or more video sources onboard the vehicle and the video signal including the image or display of the application executing on the remote server; and selectively displaying, by the one or more processors, on a display of the vehicle, the video signal including the image or display of the application executing on the remote server.
User defined rules for assigning destinations of content
A media guidance application is provided by which users can define rules for assigning user equipment devices as destinations for media content. For example, a user may define a rule by which selected media content having attributes that satisfy a user-defined condition are downloaded, recorded, or streamed to a particular, user-specified user equipment device. The user may define and manage rules using media guidance menus, and may restrict other users from accessing the rules (e.g., parents restricting children).
VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE
A vehicle display device includes a theme-specific related information storage unit that stores videos related to destinations and a display that reads a related video from the theme-specific related information storage unit and displaying the related video for a corresponding one of the destinations. The vehicle display device thus allows users in a vehicle to maintain excitement until a vehicle arrives in the destination.
Systems and methods for providing a wake-up user interface for a night mode on transportation vehicles
Methods and systems are provided for a transportation vehicle. One method includes enabling by a processor, a night mode for a seat device of an in-flight entertainment system (IFE) on an aircraft based on a night mode trigger; displaying by the processor, during the night mode, a wake-up user interface on the seat device for a passenger, when a seat device monitor backlight has turned on after the backlight was turned off, or a seat device backlight timer has triggered, where a brightness of the wake-up user interface is lower than a brightness of a default user interface of the seat device; and enabling by the processor a first set of functions of the seat device accessible from the wake-up user interface, the first set of functions being less than a second set of functions accessible from the default user-interface.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CREATING A VIRTUAL JOURNEY EXPERIENCE
A system for creating a virtual journey experience comprises an environment having at least a first side and a second side and an interior space therebetween, a first number of video displays located at the first side of the interior space facing into the interior space and spaced apart from one another, a second number of video displays located at the second side of the interior space and facing into the interior space and spaced apart from one another, and a video content presentation system, the video content presentation system configured to cause the first number of video displays to present video content captured by one or more cameras from a first side of a moving object and cause the second number of video displays to present video content captured by one or more cameras from a second side of the object.
Imaging apparatus, image processing apparatus, and image processing method
The present technology relates to an imaging apparatus, an image processing apparatus, and an image processing method that can reduce an amount of transfer of images. The imaging apparatus includes: an imaging unit that performs imaging to obtain a captured image; and a transmission control unit that performs transmission control to transmit a region image within a plurality of transfer regions, which corresponds to an entire or partial region of the captured image, at a frame rate set for each of the transfer regions. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a camera that images the surroundings of a mobile body such as a camera that images the surroundings of a vehicle that performs automated driving.
Multi-location disc jockey
A method for multi-location DJ presence management includes generating an avatar image corresponding to a DJ operating a DJ console at a primary location on a vessel and transmitting from the DJ console, an audio feed produced by the DJ console to multiple other locations on the vessel. The avatar then can be displayed at each of the other locations. Finally, the displayed can be animated in coordination with movements of the DJ operating the DJ console. In this way, irrespective of the location of a member of the audience in any of the locations, the member of the audience can experience the live performance of the DJ as if the DJ were present in person at the location of the member of the audience.
CONTENT DELIVERY ROUTING WITH ON-AIRCRAFT EDGE SERVERS
Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing media content items within a content delivery network including an edge tier of servers located on mobile platforms served by wireless communication links of a communication system and at least one terrestrial tier of servers. An example method may include receiving a request for an item from a device within a mobile platform served via a wireless communication link of the communication system and identifying a mobile edge server located on the mobile platform. The method may include redirecting the request to the mobile edge server if the item is stored on the mobile edge server. If not, the method may include determining whether the item is stored on a first terrestrial server of a first tier of servers. When the item is stored on the first terrestrial server, the method may redirect the request to the first terrestrial server.
