Automatic diagnostics alerts
Generating automatic diagnostics alerts is disclosed. At a first time, a set of quality metrics for a plurality of groups of streaming sessions is computed. An anomaly is identified at least in part by performing anomaly detection using the set of quality metrics and historical information. A cause of the identified anomaly is diagnosed. An alert is generated based at least in part on the diagnosis.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STORING AND DELIVERING CONTENT ASSETS
Delay in delivery of a content asset to a user device may be reduced by fetching a portion of the content asset and storing it in a cache. From the cache, segments of the portion of the content asset may be sent to the user device. An indication of a trickplay command associated with playback of the content asset on the user device may be received, such as a fast forward command, a rewind command, or a play command. Based on a type of the trickplay command, the portion of the content asset in the cache may be adjusted, such as by adjusting a time to live (TTL) of a segment of the content asset in the cache, by evicting a segment of the content asset in the cache, or by predictively pre-fetching and storing other segments to the cache.
MANAGING MULTIMEDIA CONTENT AT EDGE SERVERS
A content management system to optimize delivery of multimedia content to user devices in a subscriber network is provided. The system generates a set of telemetry data by monitoring selections of multimedia content instances by subscribers of a subscriber network at a set of edge servers of the subscriber network. The system generates a data consumption model based on the set of telemetry data. The system anticipates a set of multimedia content instances for a current time interval by using the generated data consumption model to identify the anticipated set of media content instances for the current time interval. The system caches the anticipated set of multimedia content instances from one or more network sources. The system provides the cached content instances to one or more subscribers in response to multimedia content selections from the subscribers for the current time interval.
Method and an apparatus for controlling content delivery via machine-learning based routing
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving, from a streaming application, a listing of media content items provided by the streaming application to a first device of a first user, determining a priority set of the media content items of the listing of media content items according to relative demand profiles of a plurality of media content items, for each priority media content item of the priority set of the media content items, providing the priority media content item to an edge server of a set of edge servers accessible to the first device, updating edge server location information associated with the priority media content item, and providing the edge server location information to the streaming application. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Connected-media end user experience using an overlay network
An Internet infrastructure delivery platform (e.g., operated by a service provider) provides an overlay network (a server infrastructure) that is used to facilitate “second screen” end user media experiences. In this approach, first media content, which is typically either live on-demand, is being rendered on a first content device (e.g., a television, Blu-Ray disk or another source). That first media content may be delivered by servers in the overlay network. One or multiple end user second content devices are then adapted to be associated with the first content source, preferably, via the overlay network, to facilitate second screen end user experiences (on the second content devices).

METHODS FOR DISCOVERY OF MEDIA CAPABILITIES OF 5G EDGE
A method of managing capabilities of a media streaming network using at least one processor, including receiving a capability request for media streaming capabilities of an edge data network (EDN); determining the media streaming capabilities of the EDN; transmitting a capability response based on the determined media streaming capabilities; receiving a media processing workflow request based on the capability response; establishing a media streaming session according to the media processing workflow request; and streaming media content based on the media streaming session.
Auctioning for content on demand asset insertion
Systems and methods presented herein provide for Content On Demand (COD) asset insertion. A COD asset insertion decision system (CODAID) is communicatively coupled to a content distributer to process information about COD content selections by Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs). An auction system is communicatively coupled to the CODAID and to a plurality of asset providers to process information about assets of the providers, to provide an auction for asset opportunities in the COD content selections, to receive bids for the asset opportunities, and to rank the auctioned assets according to bid. The CODAID further ranks the auctioned assets based in part on the COD content selection information and the asset information, identifies one or more of the further ranked assets for insertion into the COD content selection, and directs the content distributer to insert the identified one or more further ranked assets into the COD content selection.

CINEMATIC MASTERING FOR VIRTUAL REALITY AND AUGMENTED REALITY
An entertainment system provides data to a common screen (e.g., cinema screen) and personal immersive reality devices. For example, a cinematic data distribution server communicates with multiple immersive output devices each configured for providing immersive output (e.g., a virtual reality output) based on a data signal. Each of the multiple immersive output devices is present within eyesight of a common display screen. The server configures the data signal based on digital cinematic master data that includes immersive reality data. The server transmits the data signal to the multiple immersive output devices contemporaneously with each other, and optionally contemporaneously with providing a coordinated audio-video signal for output via the common display screen and shared audio system.
